I saw it on the news. He was always one of my favourite actors.

Robin Williams is one of those people who was loved by practically everyone. :(

Holy s***. Okay, that was not what I expected to start my day with either. RIP, to somebody who was basically a living legend.

I typically don't care about celebrity deaths, well, I do, but I don't care about them any more than anyone else. But Robin Williams hit me in the feels. Especially being a suicide, lightened so many hearts but apparently not his own.

Also heard he may have been in the early stages of Parkinson's disease, really can't blame him if that is the case. I'd prefer to go before I was a brain dead drain on my family too.

The cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation - in other words, he hung himself - and he was, in fact, diagnosed with the early stages of Parkinson's disease, the same disease that Michael J. Fox has.

It shocked the crap out of me! What a genius actor - one we'll probably never see again in our lifetimes. I loved him in "Good Morning, Vietnam!", the best. However, he was amazing in his other roles as well. At the time of his passing, there was a sequel to, "Mrs. Doubtfire", in the works. :(

I watched his HBO special, "Robin Williams Live On Broadway" yesterday and it just gutted me to know that we'll never see the likes of him again....:(
