I was curious to know if anyone has read any of Heinlein's literature? Many consider him to be the king of science fiction, and I tend to agree.

I've read Stranger in a Strange Land, Friday, Starship Troopers, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and The Cat Who Walks Through Walls. My favorite, of course, being Stranger. If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend you take a trip to the library tommorow and check it out immediately.

Though he injects a lot of his own philosophies in his characters, it makes for one hell of a read. Jubal, being my absolute favorite fictional character, has proven time and time again his conquering of the academic world as well as his own castle. I would do anything for his style of living.

So, anyone read any of these?

No, never even heard of Heinlein's but that is perhaps because I don't like science fiction

I have read Stranger and Starship Troopers was a constant reading companion for many years.

The Starship Troopers movie may me cry it was sooo bad but the animated series kicked butt.

Im not sure how a Stranger movie would work. I think it could be a good movie but would be very easy to mess up. Also there is alot of data to cover and then what about the sexuality in the book?

I can't tell you how many times I've thought about that. A movie could never do the book justice. I certainly wouldn't watch it.
