Well I'm not even a fan of horror but this series is one of the best around in any genre, the twists in both the movies are worth the gore even if you have a soft stomach. Such a great movies, I really can't wait until the third which comes out later this year. I have yet to decide which one of the movies is better, they are both so great. I was disappointed however when I went to see the second, some idiot I know already told me some important info about the second movie. But please if you want to talk about these movies, please do not talk about spoilers, these movies are important for the twists.

Uh, definetly worth the time. liked the first one better, it just had more atmosphere and less action (not saying that less action is good) but it was a slower paced movie.

I saw Saw (ha!) about a week ago on DVD. It's a good film, lots of gore and horror, which is alright if your in the mood for that kind of film. I've got Saw 2 around somewhere on dvd, i'll get round to watching it sometime soon.

Saw 1 is better in my opinion. Better twist etc. I'm also tired of the 2nd one. I've seen it too many times.

Saw nr.1 all the way. It has a better atmosphere, is more logical and has a better twist. The twist at the end of nr.2 was... strange. Also, where nr. 1 is more a psychological horror/thriller with loads of gore, nr. 2 is just... horror with loads of gore. I also disliked the overall story of number two less. Some people, trapped in a house with traps. Yay. You know, the script of number two originally wasn't even written for a Saw series. It had been written a time before Saw, but the producers didn't want it. It wasn't till Saw became a hit, the studios thought of it being a sequel.

I think they are great movies, sure. But somehow they do not belong to a trilogy. I mean, LOTR-trilogy, Star-Wars-trilogy (well, twice, Matrix-trilogy,... Saw-trilogy? It doesn't really fit in. But, let's see what they make from it.

Yeah I did know how the movie wasn't gonna be in the Saw series Saw 2 was originally gonna be a movie called 'The Desperate'. But I'm glad it happened it was the best sequel you can wish for. I mean a sequel was inevitable with all of the pain in the ass Hollywood studios around......It just happened to fit in with the whole gory/psychological theme that is Saw. And FYI I actually liked the twist(s) in saw2 more than that of Saw.

I can't really compare, as I've only seen Saw 1. I really liked it, though. It genuinely creeped me out, and that's very hard for movies to do. I've heard Saw II just wasn't as good.
