OH MY GOD.

I had this show recommended to me by a friend and ... wow. I thought she was exaggerating about how good it is. She most certainly wasn't. Once again, BBC delivers. At first I was skeptical about a modern-day Sherlock Holmes, but they really pulled it off. The writing is simply amazing. Doyle would be proud.

Thoughts on the series? I only just finished the first episode, so no spoilers. xD

:Puzzled: .. ... .... are you watching me?

I actually watched the first episode of this last night. Alike you, it was recommended to me (though instead of a friend, it was a work colleague). He lent me the season #1 collection, I had it over the weekend but didn't really think I'd like it. Robert Downey Jr portrays the character with awe.

I admit I too was a little sceptical about them setting the show in this century. After having watched the first episode though, I was pleasantly surprised (although I never did catch / understand the reason behind Watson and his 'injury'. Don't know if I missed that or whether it merely hasn't been explained yet.

I may get on episode #2 tonight. That or Gods of the Arena. Can't decide right now, heck, might even get both in if I've enough time. =p

ALWAYS. By the way, your new furniture...naw, that one's been done to death.

Hell yeah he does. That's another reason I was skeptical as well, but Benedict Cucumberpatch (=p) is starting to grow on me.

If I recall correctly, I believe he took a bullet to the knee. Could be wrong but it seems like I remember something along those lines.

Oh I hear that.

You'll hear more about the injury in the rest of the first series.

I love this show, can't wait for series 3.

Not going to spoil it for you guys but Series 2 is even better.

Now the bad news. The yanks are making there own version of it set in America with Lucy Liu as Watson yes that is no joke.

Somebody has been playing Skyrim...

Watson's leg injury is all in his head. He actually took a bullet to the shoulder. It's better explained in the opening episode.

As for me, I've watched Sherlock since it first aired, and I love it to bits! Series 2 has some great moments in it, but I find series 1 to be more chilling.

Plus, it's written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, who also currently write for Doctor Who, so when I first started with Sherlock, it was only because I felt obligated to. ;)

The Robert Downey Jr movies are still great though! :D
