Yeah, we all saw that Satan's Birthday episode a little while back in which Steve Irwin walks into the Halloween party with a stingray through his heart. At the time my friends and I thought that was pretty harsh. But, tonight, I heard the most fucked up thing ever.

So, basically, Stan is coaching a peewee hockey team, and one of the members of the team is suffering badly from cancer. Soon the kid ends up in the hospital. Well, the kid's father convinces Stan to go talk to the kid. Stan goes to the kid and the kid asks Stan one favor before he dies: win the hockey game. Well, the hockey game ends in a tie, and so the kid doesn't die, but "his cancer is tied." It seems that if the South Park hockey team beats this team in the "big game," then the kid will survive... according to this doctor. Then, the doctor says, "if you don't win the big game, then he's going to die faster than Steve Irwin in a tank of stingrays."

[rant] That is fucked up. I know someone is going to come into this thead and tell me South Park has no boundries. Well, screw you. I'm starting to think some censorship is needed. And don't go on about how TV shouldn't be censored because I was offended, because you're a selfish prick. You, you, individualist.[/rant]

I actually agree. This is the equivalent to anarchy. If there isn't any sort of framework of respect for all tv to be bound by then how can it truly be weighed and respect as a work that can stand on its own.

This show is the camping sniper of TV.

Imagine if his wife seen that? What if you were his kid and you seen that? Wheres the respect?! Ever hear of Ethics? Personally I think Comedy Central should be fined and The south park creators should have to appoligize for the comment.

Ah yes, but we had no problem when South Park showed NAKED KIDS ON LEASHES being lead around by priests. Oh no, I didn't see any threads condemning that.

Get over it. It's South Park, and they love this kind of sensationalism.

Bingo. I saw the episode tonight and I thought it was more tasteless than usual. However...

BIG...FUCKING...DEAL. Quit crying about it because it is South Park FFS. What do you expect...morals and high brow humor? Jesus, were you all born in a box? They do not have to apologize for anything because there is this thing called free speech. Free speech doesn't mean that they have to create tasteful humor for little wankers who cannot handle it.

There were actually TWO jabs (no pun intended) at Steve Irwin in this episode.

The second was when Stan and the team were talking at the dinner

But this is South Park, nothing, i repeat NOTHING is safe no matter what the subject matter

If there is no image, Mikey broke something...

There was a thread about the first Steve Irwin joke earlier in the Entertainment forums. I did see a You-Tube clip of it.

I haven't seen the second one, yet.

I never watched southpark because I knew if the look is that odd, then the show overall must be.

It's a show if you take South Park serious in ANY way YOU'RE FUCKED UP my friend. I saw an interview with the creators of South Park and that's exactly what they said. So if you don't want to watch it don't, it plays late so kids don't see it. Deal with it.
