So yeah, I went to go see it with my brother tonight at $13 a ticket :p

And you're probably wondering what I thought about it. Well, of course, I've already seen it in theaters (it was actually the same theater where I saw it for the first time), and I really hated the prequel trilogy, but I have to say I did quite enjoy it in 3D. Nowadays, a lot of major league theaters have moved over to the new digital-screen technology which really has some great, high-definition video quality, as well as a high frame-rate (about 120hz AFAIK).

In addition to that, the theaters also have a greatly improved sound system which immerses you in the high-quality audio that Lucas Film is known for.

But that's about it; visually and sound-wise, it was great and it really felt like you were looking through a window at actual occurrences. All-in-all, I had a lot of fun watching it and if you have $13 to spend and are really bored, I'd say go and give it a shot. Also, I can't wait for the sequel trilogy to come out, because I would really love to see that on the big-screen.

P.S. I think my original rating of Episode I was like 3/10, but the 3D version I give a 4-4.5/10 :)

I'd like to go see it. I saw it too when it first came out and loved it (mostly cause of my age at the time and I was like ZOMFGLIGHTSABERS). So this just sealed the deal :)

I don't understand why people dislike the prequels so much.

I first saw the original trilogy when I was 4 years old. I loved it, but I remember I would get bored easily at some parts. Dagobah, waiting for the battle of Hoth, the entire first 45 minutes of A New Hope. I could go on. =p

I saw episode 1 a few days after it came to theatres, and I liked it. While I do dislike some of the characters (namely Jar Jar) I also like a lot of the characters a lot more than the ones from the sequels. I don't know if I'll see this though, 3D effects aren't worth a $15 ticket in my opinion...

I refuse to throw anymore money at Lucas, and I also hate 3D, and seeing as how I have all 6 movies on DVD already, I think I'm pretty much set. ;)

I haven't seen a film in 3d yet (WUTOMGN00B) and this will be my first one.

The bloody thing is currently sponsoring the FX channel and gets me proper hyped in Star Wars mode just watching it.

This. While I understand people being mad at Lucas for fucking with the original trilogy way too much, the prequels really weren't that bad. Essentially what I think it comes down to is the typical attitude of change is bad, SHUUUNN!!!

Indeed. Changing the movies time and time again isn't a wise idea, but I find the plot in the prequels is so much more original than the original trilogy. Original trilogy was just good vs evil, there wasn't any twist or turns. The prequels are much more original in terms of story.

I seem to recall Ep. 5 having one of the biggest twists of it's time, actually... <.

Try "of all time". IIRC, the cast and crew didn't know about that plot detail until the day they filmed that scene.
