So, to talk about Stargate, (over in the UK, started on season 8 yesterday), and as i hadn't done for a while, i decided to go onto the website and have a look around only to find that it's been taken over by the Farscape Lot... Anyone know why O'Neil is to leave? I thought that guy was great, always using his witty ways even when he is in the shit and it looks like he is going to die. Yet, he is leaving or what? All i know is that he is promoted to head of Stargate Command (so much for that new woman)... <- what does happen to her? and is that the last of the Replicators (excluding Fifth) as he seems to have come to his senses so to speak, he isn't about killing everyone, but experiancing life as a human. and i heard somewhere that Anubis and Ra are back! (although both are dead) - does anyone know anything of this and could explain? Thanks on that, and feel free to discuss other Stargate Issues here also.

After 8 seasons O'Neil leaves he had enough I guess but he's replaced by the main actor out of farscape which im happy about. smilie.gif If the woman your talking about is weir, she leads atlantis now. The Replicators are gone for good by season 9 and so is anubis(but there is an episode where his "son" shows up) The main bad guy in season 9 are the Ori who are pretty damn cool. Im not sure about Ra though.:uhm:

I think it will be cool with ben browder from Farscape. He was pretty funny in Farscape and should be like O'Neill in SG1. I am eagerly awaiting season 2 of atlantis to be shown here.

So what, O'Neil has just quit the show? (quitting his in-show position at the same time)... What about his friendship with Thor and co+ :( That guy is gonna be missed. Also, Weir is the person who is in Atlantis, - but, why does she leave the SGC?

He is actually leaving in the ninth season I think (relegated to guest appearances), "promoted to head of the Department of Homeworld Security" to quote GateWorld. It's a real shame, and I don't think I'll be watching it further. I'd been very much going off it for the last couple of seasons with Richard Dean Anderson's gradually lessening involvement. The reason he's leaving (and has been spending comparatively little time on the show in recent years) is to spend more time with his daughter. Given the *incredibly* harsh schedules of tv actors it's not so surprising really, and in my opinion he made the right decision. I'd imagine he'd feel just as bad about leaving what is essentially his show as we do.
