Depends which Goku. By the end of DBZ I think it's safe to say that Goku is stronger. However, during the Radditz and Vegeta eras he's probably not nearly as strong as Superman.

As for who's more awesome, I have to go with Goku. He's a righteous SoB but also a hardass and knows how to get shit done. Superman was always too perfect in my book, though I haven't really read the comics so I'm going off cartoons and movies.

Agreed, depends on whether we're talking Goku at his best or not as his power fluctuates throughout the series.

Going by the (coincidentally) one of the very few Superman comics I read when Superman is killed by Doomsday I'd say it doesn't take much by DBZ universe standards. Freeza destroyed a planet by pointing his finger at it, and Goku ended up coming out on top which I assume implies similar capabilities.

Doomsday was cool and all, but the most he could do is leave a bunch of dents and holes - and he killed Superman.

Yes, but then again, Doomsday can regenerate even after death, becoming immune to whatever killed him, adapts resistances to things that attack him, and was able to "hold his ground against the entire justice league"... So saying Superman was beaten by doomsday as a reasonable detail as to why Goku could, is hardly fair, as Doomsday could more then likely beat Goku at SSJ4. In fact, Doomsday and Apocalypse are probably the most over-powered POS in fiction all together.

Huh, I didn't know he was that OPd. Like I said, all I read was that one comic. Still I think you're underestimating the ridiculous amount of power that they started messing with in Dragon Ball Z.

Goku wouldn't have blown Doomsday up, he would have blown up the entire planet.
