Same here, I absolutely hated the webbing shooter. Web is the most iconic part of a spider in my opinion...

How does that even work, anyways? If webbing isn't part of his mutation, what is? Everything else but?

SuperSmeg;5614446I just wish that the webbing had remained part of his mutation in the upcoming reboot movie.[/QUOTE]I'm curious, but if the webbing isn't part of his mutation (after having been bit by a spider) what exactly is his mutation?

Well you know that white sticky compound after a wet dream?

Enhanced senses, strength, agility and endurance. And wall "sitcky-ness".

...

And that's pretty much it.

And in the comics, webbing wasn't a part of the mutation?

Wtf. The movies with Tobey Maguire actually made improvements. That's irony right there.

Besides being able to cling to walls, there is nothing about the other abilities that make him seem like he was bitten by a Spider. And even then, clinging to walls could be a lot of other insects. Whatever dumbass decided webbing shouldn't be part of his mutation was, well, a dumbass.

To be quite honest, this sucks. The whole 'spiderman' theme should kind of be law that one of his mutations was the ability to shoot webs from his wrist, and not some stupid little device. Doesn't this kind of defeat the entire purpose of the theme?
