I've read the first 3 bourne books. Very excellent trilogy. I thought the first 2 were kick ass cause he was still young and had all his skills in tact. I especially liked how he man-handled the imposter assassin in the 2nd book. Made the guy look like an amateur. So I read the synopsis for Legacy and the plot seems very similar to another of Ludlum's book "The Janson Directive".

For those of you who haven't read it, the main character Paul Janson is a kick ass vietnam vet like bourne who now is a security consultant. It's pretty funny how similar the two characters are. But the story takes place in the late 90's to early 00's with all the references to the internet in the book. Anyways, the guy gets framed for a murdur and the entire CIA is after him thinking he's gone rogue, kinda like Legacy.

The really cool thing is that there's a small reference about the Medusa project in The Janson Directive. In many ways Janson is probably as kick ass as Bourne. Would be cool if both of them squared off.

Yeah, that would be one hell of a fight.

Who do u guys think would win? Clark from the Tom Clancy novels or Jason Bourne?

Bourne would win, or at least I think so. His fighting and shooting are quite top-notch, as are Clark's. So in conclusion, it would be a tie, they would end up killing each other in the end.

I plan on reading the series just as soon as I finish the Jurassic Park books.

I think I will have to read the books myself. I am reading the Da Vinci Code right now, and then I want to read the Lord of the Rings books finally just to see why everyone sais they are so good. But if the books are as good as the movie, I think I will have to take a look.

I bought The Bourne Identity on dvd. Its the extended edition, with a new beginning and ending. The new beginning is a little weird, but makes sense once you see the end.

I want to read the books, but right now I'm reading The Eiger Sanction by Trevanian.
