A remake of Miami Vice is coming out soon. miamivice.jpg The guys don't even look the part, and I doubt their acting abilities will ever match the original. Why must these morons give a bad name to every hit tv show by churning out lousy remakes. They did the same thing with the Avengers and I Spy. Great shows - bad remakes.

Michael Mann (exec. producer of the series) wanted to do it. At first, I thought 'ahw no!' as well, but I now think it, being in good hands, can actually deliver. I think this can be a good action movie.

Lousy remake? Well, the cast/crew is not the least. Director Micheal Mann (Heat, Collateral), and actors Jamie Foxx (Ray, got an Oscar for his performence) and Colin Farrell (The New World) isn't the worst you can get. Colin Farrell being the 'can do' actor.

No, it isn't all that bad. It might not make a classic movie; but (I think) it will make good movie, with, looking at the trailer, style.

Edit: Only the 'stache... It's weird. Somehow cool though :p.

How dare you question Miami Vice! Burn heretic! Burn!:p Even if the acting is okay, it will end up looking bad, because it pales in comparison to the original. The New World and most recent movies rely on over-acting and lots of emoting. I really doubt these guys can revive the style of Vice.

BTW - the guy they have playing Tubbs looks like a black rapper.

Hah - he does rap. ;) (For your information; Slow Jamz with Twista.. Just in case you'd like to know).

Well, I can't argue with you about this, as I'm too young to have ever seen Miami Vice. So no; I do neither now anything about the original style of Vice.

So, if feel sorry for you, as this may turn out bad for you; but for the newer generation this movie may not be all too bad. I think it doesn't look too bad. Secondly, I still think it will have style. Whether or not it has the style the original had; it will have style.

The movie will undoubtedly be an extremely over-rated piece of shit. You're right Mach, recently there has been a lot of re-makes... Have the people run out of ideas? It's a damn shame... really.

(i.e. Dawn of the dead, Dukes of Hazard, The A-Team will be made into a movie  who the fuck would replace Mr. T? unless he wants to act again :p )

   Guess what - I'm only a couple of years older than you - I'm in the same generation! (I have the DVD collection.;) ) I bet this is going to turn out just like Las Vegas - we have no idea what the heck we're doing - so we'll just put a bunch of half-naked chicks in it and hope people go see it just for that.

Machiavelli, I think you're underestimating Mann's ability on this one just a bit. I don't think this movie will disappoint at all. Mann know's what he's doing.

Hell, I thought Collateral would suck, until I actually saw it. Jamie Foxx was a good choice, in my opinion (At least he didn't go with Sam Jackson.). Colin, not so much, but I have faith in Mann making it work. I'll be looking forward to this one, for sure.
