October isn't it? I'll be there, watching it, just as I did with season one. Am a bit annoyed with some of these American shows though; True Blood, Spartacus, Walking Dead and Falling Skies. What's with their 12-episode seasons? Can't we have the good old days back where we have a full 22-episodes?

I know right? I'm really getting into Spartacus and I hate that the episodes are so short.

But the reason The Walking Dead only had six episodes was because it was more or so a test run. To see if it would get popular or not.

I read for season 2 they are doing more episodes. Im just worried about how its going to effect thier budget and the overall awesomness of the show.

They are doing more episodes with 13 for the second season, which is a little more than double the number of episodes of the first season. There's a completely new writing staff for the show and the executive producer was fired some time during production as well. I'm not what the reasons were for these moves, I had read most of the writers were moving on to other projects and there were some issues over the show's budget.

Some shows shouldn't have too many episodes. Dexter for example, each episode is connected to the last, if it went on for 22 episodes it would seem like they are trying to drag it on. Same goes for Walking Dead, it isn't like Criminal Minds, CSI, or Two and a Half Men where most of the time the episodes have no connection to one another, allowing for more to be made.

Also, I read somewhere that the writers for this season are all freelance writers. That could be a good or bad thing.

I enjoyed the first season and am looking forward to the start of the second. I just hope the characters are fleshed out a bit more. They felt a little flat and stereotypical in the first season. I also hope their tactical planning improves.

I'm hoping for a bit more action and suspense. Most of the season they were sitting around their camp, at least they're on the move now.

You could always read the comics that the series is based off of. I have been reading them and they are very good. Anyways, what I like about the series itself is that it is deviating from the comics. This makes it far less predictable and far more interesting.

I love the comic books, and I do really hope that they run more in that direction. There are some characters I would love to see this next season.
