As per title. Make suggestions about good Netflix shows that you think others should watch.

(I suspect region locking may play a key role here)

I'll start: Altered Carbon.

I saw someone compare it to Blade Runner in tv series form in another thread. How correct they are!

I'll add "The Expanse" to the list. I don't recall enjoying any sci-fi series as much since the reimagined Battlestar Galactica.

I got into The Expanse but I didn't manage to get far, I can't remember why. Maybe it was a time thing. Same thing for the Designated Survivor series.

I watched the first season of Designated Survivor (because I liked 24 back in the day), but that series is mediocre in my opinion.

The Expanse, on the other hand, is really good. It takes a while for the story to build. I remember that I wasn't overly impressed by the first few episodes either. Towards the end of season 1 it gets better and season 2 is of high quality throughout.

Besides, you gotta love a sci-fi series that is at least somewhat grounded in Newtonian physics. Acceleration is a thing and they know that going from a to b involves transfer orbits, which shows more sophistication than most of the sci-fi competition.

Many sci-fi fans consider Firefly something of a gold standard; I think the Expanse takes some key concepts from that series and sets it in a much darker, grittier, and deeper (in the sense of better developed factions, each with their own culture and mannerism) near future scenario.

Also got to hand them a certain degree of maturity in story-telling, which is unlike what you find in many other sci-fi series (you'll know what I mean by mid-season 2). Some of the scenes are really moving.

And for a TV-series the visuals are amazing. When did you last see such a beautiful depiction of space? Some of the visuals later in season 1 are Giger-like, even with no words spoken you realize that the pictures shown are a central element of the story. Really makes me glad I have a 55-inch OLED TV.

I thought The Crown was excellent.

Not sure if it'd appeal to Americans but I thought it was excellent.

I never really cared for anything past Paul McGann.  David Tennant and Matt Smith were entertaining, but, somewhere along the way, I lost all interest in the series.

I've recently started watching Jessica Jones and so far I'm liking it.
