There Will Be Blood is a truly powerful and complexed film. Anyone who wishes to discuss it or have any questions regarding it, feel free to post here.

Cant wait to see it, I'm a big fan of Paul Anderson and Day-Lewis, looks like such a rich character driven experience.
It most certainly is. Like all of PTA's films, the characters are deep and intriguing; there is also great direction, cinematography and the film is all around incredible.
I'll let you know what I think tomorrow. Going to see it midday, I can't wait.

Just saw it last night and I must say I was blown away by how complex and deep the story was. The acting was some of the best I've ever seen. The whole movie has such an eerie feel to it and the music that goes with it only adds to that suspense.
I thought it was completely brilliant. Anderson's best movie to date. By the end, Daniel was one of the most intense figures I've ever seen in a movie. I absolutely loved it.
Agree with both of you!
Now that I know there are people on this forum that have watched this film, what are your thoughts on the ending. My honest opinion, best ending to the best film ever. My heart was racing, and I was laughing then suddenly not, it was a whole mess of emotion and then it ended with that quote and it was just perfect.
I thought the ending was a sucker-punch to the gut. The movie just kicks you down and leaves you there. Not many movies have made me feel so bleak upon exiting the theater.
I was properly tense during many moments in the movie. The music contributed to that greatly. Anderson's last movie Punch Drunk Love did a great job with that as well, but this one took tension through music to a whole new level.
Agreed, I didn't know what to expect seeing that Jon Brion wasn't doing the score, but Greenwood pulled it off and really did add intensity to the film.
