I usually am very apprehensive about movie sequels as they more often then not are always awful.
But it seems there is a longstanding trend, especially recently with comic book movies that when the original director stays on board its almost always of equal or better quality.
Examples Godfather Tim Burton's batman Spiderman x-men C. Nolan's Batman
Typically with a director switch mid series, it totally ruins the franchise. (Ahem Batman Forever, jaws )
This leads me to believe Transformer's 2 under the control of Mr. Bay is going to be rad as hell. That and the trailers look amazing and devastator.
Anyone else notice this?
I think Revenge of the Fallen will be a great film. It is showing Friday, and I'm going to see it. Nearly three hours of Robots kicking the shit out of each other. Great stuff. I have heard rumours though, that Sam gets some 'upgrades' himself. I sure hope this not to be true, as him fighting as a Transformer would be real cheesy and lame. This I'd not like to see.
Let me get this straight. You're happy they kept Bay?
Bay is perfect for Transformers. I just want Transformers 2 to have awesome battles, epic explosions, and Megan Fox, and it will have all of that. It's Transformers, it doesn't need a plot.
I just can't get past the fact that it's two and a half hours. That kind of length is for movies with a plot and characters so that they have time to fully develop. Not movies that could easily double as expensive car commercials. I'm also not too happy with the job Bay did on the first movie. That scene where Bumblebee "pees" on an agent still haunts my dreams. This movie looks to top it with a scene where a small Transformers humps Megan Fox's leg.

In all honesty, that's what the first Transformers really was. It sucked, had some decent action that was thrilling maybe during the five seconds that Optimus Prime and Megatron went one-on-one; also had a tacked on love plot. Hopefully the second Transformers will be loads better...

Exactly. If the Megan Fox T&A is plentiful and there is more fighting of big ass robots then the last movie, that's all it needs. Nobody expects these kinds of movies to be award winners, but they should be brain-congealing badass.
I think its fine that ppl enjoy Transformers, just don't call them great movies. They are horrible, but entertaining.
But they are great movies, thats the thing. They were superbly done.

"rad" That is some old school slang. Haven't heard that in years!:p
