Got to see TF2 last night, and everything i said was pretty much true aha....it was bigger and better.

Felt a lot more like transformers, focused a hell of a lot more on the bots then the people.

LOVED it

I heard it just had a bunch of new robot characters who got like 45 seconds of screentime each, and were just introduced to get more toy-line options.

But then it's not even playing here, yet. Not sure if I'll go see it, just because I didn't even like the first one all that much, and I'm not really interested by the sole review I've read.

Some of them hardly got any screen time at all. Some of the new Characters (especially Autobots) did only get a fraction if time on screen. I was quite dissapointed. [QUOTE=Minnesnowtan;4928717]But then it's not even playing here, yet. If you didn't like the first one, then I doubt Transformers is your thing, and I'd advise against seeing the second.

This movie was designed for teenagers and young adults. Don't expect too much plot depth nor purpose and you should be able to enjoy it. Once you start questioning what the point of it all is, it falls apart.

This is one I'm waiting for Blu-Ray on. If someone drags me out to the theatre, I'll watch it. Otherwise, another Origins/Salvation meh kinda movie to me. Gimme more Star Trek. That rocked!

Don't sell yourselves short. Just because it's a movie about giant fighting robots doesn't mean you deserve a shitty movie about giant fighting robots. I'm sure there could have been a movie (at 150 minutes long) with the same amount of explosions but with good story development, exposition and character arc. This movie would only have been worse if there was more action. Not necessarily worse if the robots had more screentime.

Most of the first movie was a teen drama/romance with bad jokes.

I believe that critic Dustin Putman has summed up my feelings about this movie to a T. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an abject failure any way you spin it. It's heinously written. It's embarrassingly acted. It's snarkily directed by Michael Bay with his textbook superficiality at an all-time high. The action is conceived and presented as impersonal chaos, clunky and free of personal involvement. The comedy is a crime against the art form. The pseudo-melodrama is absurd, achieving the feat of simultaneously seeming both self-serious and disingenuous. The plot is a desperate death knell of hooey that can't be bought for a second because even Bay doesn't seem to buy it. Not only insensitive to race, ethnicity and physical disabilities, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is just as appalling to the human population as a whole. Akin to an implausibly expensive fart, the film stinks to high heaven, permeates and spreads like an airborne virus, and has all the charm of gout."

I don't think the guy who wrote this even gave the film a chance. He is probably some guy who hates sci-fi, and who has no interest in aliens or robots. Talk about being a critic.

No. He actually gave Star Trek 3/4.

What did he give the first Transformers? If that was low too, I'd conclude that he simply isn't in to the 'Transformers scene'.
