I was wondering what is the largest object a Starship can beam, I think it would depend on i the biggest space available in the ship and amount of power to the transporters. I know that Voyager beamed the Delta Flyer into the shuttle bay in that mostly CRAP episode "Once upon a time". And the Enterprise-E beamed the scorpion fighter aboard in Nemesis.
What do you think ?
Also in StarTrek-4 The Voyage Home Scotty beamed a pair of humpback whales into the cargohold of a bird of prey, with a few thousand liters of seawater.
Indeed, A good example.
I just remembered that in Voyager's episode "Distant Origin" Voyager was completely transported inside the Voth Cityship within a few seconds. BTW Voyager was transported by the Caretaker's Array across 70.000 Lightyears. So I guess whole starships can be transported!
yep, eum even a planet :D by Q
Caretakers wasn't really a transporter...It was a displacement wave.
And sovereign 001 congraduations on your promotion to Lieutenant.
I would think that my original guess is right, That the size a starship can beam is dependant on the amount of space and power available. I would also guess that a Starbase could probably beam an entire ship inside if needed. (Perhaps if the space doors got jammed lol)
Perhaps by linking all the transporter buffers together...But it's allso a matter of emiiters too...I imagine the emitters must be capable of encompassing the mass.
They beamed a shuttle inside the Enterprise before.
How many transporter pads do you think Jabba the Hutt would take up, or could he even get through the transporter room doors to begin with? Probably should just use the cargo bay transporter platform.
A sense of humor from the Akula!
