Are Lost and 24 really the two best shows on TV right now? (A twenty second pause while you're thinking about that.)

Welcome back! I would definitely put Lost in the "best" category. I don't know if it's the best, but it's certainly in the top 5. I can't speak for 24 because I haven't seen that much of it (though I take fans' word for it). But USA Today's Robert Bianco says that Lost and 24 are the two best shows on TV. Um, Mad Men anyone?

Of course, we can debate here all day long about what's "best" and what's "favorite". I'm sure we can all agree that all three of these shows are good and it probably doesn't matter which is better than the other. I just find it a little interesting that Lost and 24 are mentioned as being the best without even mentioning AMC's Mad Men. Or 30 Rock for that matter. He doesn't say that Lost and 24 are the best dramas, he says best show period.

After the jump, let us know what you think is the best of these three shows. Or if you have another show that you want to nominate. And no; you can't say Sober House.

None of those. 24 is the best of those 3, but personally, I think NCIS is one of the best shows on TV.

I would agree, since they are my two favorite shows on TV.

I'm not really sure how many shows are left, but Fringe is pretty good, along with House. I liked watching Kings until they cancelled it. I don't watch HBO or Showtime, so I don't know about the shows on there, but as far as network TV there is far too much reality show nonsense and not enough shows like LOST that actually have more to it than what is on the surface.

With Lost you will get either one of two responses:

1. It sucks you never know what the hell is going on. 2. Its bloody fantastic it always keeps you guessing.

I love Lost its just so dam good in my opinion :)

24 is a really good show aswell. I prefer Lost to it but it is also an amazing watch.

Fringe is good have been liking it so far (done by the same guy who does Lost).

But for the best shows it really is down to personal taste.

Breaking Bad > All three of those.

But given the options, I'd have to say the first two seasons of LOST.

I personally don't like any of those shows (despite my friend trying hard to get me into 24). Then again, I don't watch much TV anymore aside from when new seasons of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" air.

*sigh*

This question has been asked before, it's always either the unfortunate run of Firefly or Futurama.

I like Weeds! On basic cable I find myself watching a lot of Cold Case though.
