Not really he was having sucess at controling her even in the battle.
LIKE YOU SAID....He should've been vaporized
Xaiver's mental powers either rival or equal that of Jeans. Problem is he isn't very Telekentic. He could mask Rogues approach...
Alot of this has to deal with that fact that people are trying to get the comic book versions of the mutants to match with the movie versions. Xavier is a more powerful telepath the Jean Grey but she has the telekinetic abilities that he doesnt. Juggernaut isnt a mutant so Leaches power shouldnt have had any effect on him. (J-naut's powers are magical) It would have been interesting to see Juggernaut watch Xavier die considering that they are step brothers. Wolverine doesnt heal that fast. He wouldve been turned into a crispy critter just like the rest. Magneto being classified as a class 4 mutant along with Pyro. Sorry, but Mags's powers are greater then those of Jean Grey (non-Phoenix alien entity enhanced)
If Jean is a Pheonix, shouldn't she be able to come back in x4, and since Xavier isn't dead, and all the other xmen know what she can become, maybe Xavier will train her to be good again.
After reading a few more of the posts, I think the 10 most powerful mutants goes something like this. 1: Ben Richards: He created his own mini universe. He could also warp reality, time, all forms of energy basically he could do whatever he wanted to. 2: Legion: Hes the Son of Xavier and Gabrielle Haller. He used his powers to travel back into time and kick the stuffing out of Magneto when Mags was in his prime. He also killed Xavier at this time too starting the Age of Apocalypse. 3: X-man, Cable, Stryfe: They are all clones of one another so all have the same powers. Cable's techno virus does keep his powers in check though. 4: Onslaught (before he combined Richards and X-mans powers with his own): All the powers of Magneto and Xavier and he used there powers to reinforce themselves making them even stronger. 5: Xavier: He is an extremely powerful telepath but not nearly as strong as the telepaths above him. 6: Magneto: Xavier beat him as did Legion. 7: Apocalypse: Magneto, at half strength, ripped him in two. (Apocalypse is my favorite btw and it sucks putting him at 7) 8: Holocaust: Apacalypse's son from the AoA 9: Exodus: It was a great fight between him and Holocaust but Holocaust won and they destroyed Asteroid M in the process. 10: Mikhail Rasputin (Colossus's older brother) He can manipulate energy and actually stopped one universe from being sucked into another. Never seen him fight any of the guys above him so thats why hes getting the 10 slot. He may actuall rank higher. Jean Grey didnt make the list because, compared to the others, she isnt that powerful. She cant compete with any of these guys 1 on 1. When she tried to interfere in the fight between Exodus and Holocaust, Exodus shut her down without breaking stride in the fight. She even was in awe about how powerful Exodus really was. Now, Jean Grey (in the comics) WAS NOT the Phoenix or Dark Phoenix. The Phoenix entity was extraterrestrial and actually copied her body and took her personality. The real Jean Grey was in a coccoon at the bottom of a body of water. Later though, the real Jean Grey did take the code name Phoenix but it wasnt because she still had its powers. Mainly it was because she was in her 20s and "Marvel Girl" really didnt fit anymore.
I take what n0e says way too seriously

Jean Grey doesn't beat out Xavier were telepathic abilities are concerened, but Dark Phoenix certainly does.
That's an incredible list and that's exactly where I'd put Legion as well...although I considered putting Legion first. I've not seen anthing like him...
He's got a power in every personality...(so to speak)
