First of all, hey!
Second, im having a problem using the CS. I load the oblivion.esm file, everything loads fine. The problem is in the render window. Everything shows up white...not the entire render window mind you, just any and all objects in that area.
Third, the question is how do i solve this problem?
Here are my specs:
OS: XP SP2 Graphics: ATI Radeon 9200 Ram: 756mb HD1: 40GB HD2: 500GB
Yet you can run the game? Your graphics card, technically isn't good enough. It doesn't have Pixel shader 2.0 support; and it's appears to be a Direct X 8.0 card; and Oblivion requires at least a 9.0. Your ram could probably use an upgrade a well, isn't the minimum for Oblivion a Gigabyte?
I can run oblivion fine using Oldblivion, albeit a little lag at certain points. In the process of buying a new motherboard and processor, as well as a new graphics card...going to run me around 2-3 hundred dollars, but being an avid gamer, it's well worth it.
Im guessing it wont render because of the lack of shader support.
Any tips or tricks on getting around this aside from upgading?
You'd think there'd be an oldblivion for the CS lol
I've heard of Oldblivion; but I'm not up to date on it's abilities. Your guess it most likely correct; the lack of shader support is almost for sure the cause. When you get your new card, make sure it has at least shader model 3.0, or it's not going to be able to play very many of the newer games. Unfortunately, there's nothing really that you can do for the construction set, without upgrading. The parts physically aren't there on your graphics card.
