I'm trying to setup my own Class for in game selection as well as a Birth sign.

I have the images I want , set to resolution 512x512 and 912x512 but for some reason the DDS converter wont actually allow me to convert. I select the file , be sure it's highlight The Name doesn't come up in the Output location as well as doesn't provide a preview.

I've also tried having the 912x512 at 1024x512. From what I've heard the images must be a power of 2.

Beyond that issue, I'm also curious and having issues with associating a Spell/Power/Ability created in TES CS to a particular Class.

I've read just about every tutorial I could find. Even the Wiki and all the wiki Does is provide the Script blocks but isn't clear on what each block does. I'm still reading it over right now, so if I solve one of the Issues I'll update.

I'd really appreciate any and all help I could get. I'd like to give a spell the Animations from the Fireball i.e. the explosion , and then move into the Thunder Storm / Ice Storm animations together.

If It can't be done , no worries , I'd still like to assign some animation to the spell. It seems when you create a spell and leave it be , it just uses the lowest level animation which kind of looks like a puff of smoke fizzling out.

Sorry for the long post , Any help would be appreciated. Again , thanks.

Yeah all DDS Converters do that, I know from modding other games like Legacy, Sins of a Solar Empire..etc.. I don't think there is a work around but if you want if you send me the files in whatever format you have I can open and save them as .dds and sent them back to you if you want. Just let me know what save type options you want (3X3, Interpolated Alpha..etc)

You should get a 30 day trial for Adobe photoshop too, its worth it just to do 30 days worth of modding.

So question being then , Saving in Photoshop as a DDS will work? Or perhaps I've read far to into what you've said. If not is there another method other then DDS Converter 2?

Thanks so Much for the offer of Help! I'd like to be able to do this my self in some manner or another eventually. Still very much appreciate the offer.

I personally have never encountered the factor of 2 issue with Adobe Photoshop with the Nvidia Tools installed as an addon. I personally use adobe to open DDS and then transfer it to Corel XI because it is way more powerful. With all the converters for DDS I have ever seen it has to be 32, 64..256..512..etc

GIMP and Paint.Net also have dds capabilities and are free. There is a list of DDS tools and stuff here on Legacy Files If you scroll down to the Texturing section there will be a DDS Plugin subsection. There is where you will find the links.

Much Obliged! Already Started Resolving the DDS issues! Fantastic! Thanks So Much for that.

Now All I have to do is figure out why The Default images from the game aren't there. I.e. the Robe Nif's etc... Once I can figure that out I can move away from Birthsigns , Class etc... and move onto weapons and Armor.

I have not read all of this so please excuse me if the question has already been answered but you can download a .DDS converter here: DDS Converter, Elite Force 2 Downloads, Elite Force 2 Graphics Tools
