The Hundred Years War For those of you who don't know the Hundred Years war was a conflict - its not clear which countries exactly fought in it - it was that confusing, but it's excepted that the major players were France, England and Burgundy. When I was playing oblivion i realised how close it is to the medieval world aye.(apart from the magic, of course) We could make a mod that brought it to the Medieval Era, and after talking to some other people excited about this mod we decided upon the 100 Hundred Years war as a timeframe to make the mod in. Features i'm Hoping to impliment

  • This mod is going to be for Knights of The Nine.
  • A New map spanning France and the Holy Lands in the East.
  • A Quest spanning most of the game world - from Agincourt to Antioch.
  • New Skins and Models - such as the symbolic Bascinet helm
  • Castles and Cities which are historaclly accurate
  • New NPCs, and much more

Okay so how some of these features are currently planned is as follows : The Map will have France, but you can go to the ports at Toulouse and Marseille and get a ship to the coast near Antioch - then you will be able to walk or ride to the city of Antioch where you can get quests as a Crusader and so on... The Quest will start with you as a Knight fighting for the French King, and you act as an agent and commander - fighting around Agincourt. How you get to the Holy Land is a secret right now :P don't want to spoil it on ya.

Okay so factions I want to implement: The Knights Templar : Started after the first crusade to protect pilgrims in the holy land, the Knight Templars became notorious and infamous for their unusual tactics, and they eventually became quite wealthy and set up chapter houses in many northern European countries - and of course the persecution of Templars by the Catholic Church is well known and Documented. The Knights Templar are fanatical warriors who fight in the name of their god, their quests will mainly involve fighting heresy and if I implement the holy lands they will be a large faction there.

French Army Pretty self explanatory to be honest - but to elabourate, the French army around 1337 was one of the most feared in the known world - with magnificent Heavy Knights, with banners fluttering in the air being a thing France was famous for - units like the Gendarmes, who admittedly only appeared after the Hundred Years War, but French Armoured Knights were among the finest in Europe at the time. Late in the Hundred Years war the french army began hiring scottish mercenaries armed with longbows and this will hopefully be reflected in the game. The quests for the Army will mainly be around the actual war, with missions like infiltrating Caen and rescuing French Prisoners ( Most likely Knights as it was tradition to kill commoners who were captured but to let Knights live - it was against Chivalry to kill a surrendered Knight - even though the Knight who rallied French forces at Agincourt was indeed executed - but that was because he took the tabard of a peasant and charged - almost turning the batttle).

The Voilgers A Elite French unit the Volgiers were famous troughout Europe - for being among the most potent weapon in the King's Arsenal. The Volgiers wore extravagant battledress - depicting the coat of arms of the King and the symbol of the French Royalty. They wore light mail at the beginning of the war - but by the end they were wearing partial plate. The usually armed themselves with halberds, pikes or poleaxes - but were sometimes outfitted with sword and shield, their lack of versatility was realised early in the conflict - with English swordsmen cutting them down in battle. Voilger quests will be mainly special missions on behalf of the Crown - to burgundy, Aquitane and Brittany. An example would be holding Gascony when Edward III finally launches is counter-attack to try regain the province.

As for the Guilds already in the game - i'll remove mages' guild but keep Thieves Guild and Fighters, and I'll rename the Dark Brotherhood.

New Armour and Models I want to bring into the game - Armours Templar Armour: Basically the Crusader's armour with the Templar Cross instead of the Diamond.

Bascinet: The Pig Helm often worn by Elite Knights pic_spot_basc22_thumb.jpg

German Gothic Plate: The Armour worn by the German Gothic Knights. pic_feature_ger_gothic_thumb.gif ( I hope to reskin most of the existant armour - to put Medieval Heraldry on them - i'll probably reskin the chainmal cuirass to show each factions respective symbols.) More armour types to be decided as the mod is developed.

Weapons Most of the existant weapons will still be there - apart from Glass and Daedric - Orcish will either be removed or renamed to Ceremonial Japanese Armour ( European settlers didn't land in Japan until the 15th-17th Centuries

Poleaxe English Knights armed themselves with these brutal weapons, which could rip riders off their horses and could cleave a man in two. pic_spot_poleaxe02_s_thumb.jpg

Finally. Yeah! I thought that only one man likes medieval and want to create a mod - me. I have so much ideas and for long time tryed to find a man who will asist me. I dont understand, why everybody igroring this? Ok. Lest talk business:) Basically, im going to create REAL medieval WOLD. Based on medieval rules. But im not see any point to make it historaclly accurate. PPS Hey, maybe you saw some medieval mods? Or just such things like real armor... PS Im sorry for my english

if this mod works its goin to be a great onethough i dont understand how its goin to be for knightsof the nine.KOTN is a disk with around 7 or 8 plg-ins on it with the quest knights of the nine. its not an expansion pack. ;)

i think he mean its going to be a quest(base i guess is knights of the nine) that possibly takes you into a seperate cell(possibly a marker leading to a door or portal)... if thats right i guess it is a modded duplicate of tamriel? thats just a guess.. it probably would take out too much space, but again, its only a guess
