I've got some serious issues with Oblivion gameplay due to my limited RAM (only 512 MB) and battles outdoors are nearly impossible due to excessive stuttering, so I can't level up at all.

I have the SL_Paradise Arena and it is exactly the kind of mod that I need...almost. You can activate a statue and then it randomly spawns an enemy for you to fight. The only problem is that it's outdoors, which causes lag for me.

I need a mod that allows you to spawn enemies in this way and which is indoors (a cave or maybe an Imperial City building), so that I can train and level up lag-free. Since I can't find a mod that does this, I need to know how to open Paradise Arena in the CS so that I can investigate how it works its magic.

QUESTION: I would open it no questions asked, but when I try it tells me that the file is too high a version for the EXE to open. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

You could try and copy the mod's spawner indoor like you suggested. Simply open the CS, select the mod, and navigate to the location of the spawner.

Regarding the EXE, what version of your OS do you have?

You mean CS version or my computer's Operating System? As for the latter, I ran DXDIAG and it says that I have "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)".

You could try and copy the mod's spawner indoor like you suggested. Simply open the CS, select the mod, and navigate to the location of the spawner.

Yup, that's exactly what I had in mind. Since I have no knowledge of scripting in Oblivion (I only have a little mapping experience in the CS as it is), that's what I would have to do instead of learning an entirely new scripting language.

Is this question really so hard to answer? Does anyone know how to help me?

I've only ever used triggers once so this may not be the right way...but it sure sounds like it.

I believe in the CS, you place an enemy from the Actors list and then make a trigger. Check 'Enable Parent' for the enemy and then link it to the button. Save, check and play.
