I would like to know how can a mesh be imported to the game, if it´s necessary to create a skeleton from scratch, weight it or animate it in 3ds Max or other program or if it´s in the TES4 construction set where we do that job to the mesh. Thanks for reading.

it really depends on what you want to do, if you want a weapon imported, its pretty simple, you make your .nif mesh, and paste the mesh part over an existing weapons mesh part, preserving the physics information. right now its almost impossible to create new armor, except for editing existing armor (moving vertices, etc) to preserve the animation skeleton. this information is a bit dated right now, since i havn't had the chance to see if there is anything new.

So at the moment is impossible to actually add new stuff right? So if it´s possible in a future to actually add weapons, armors and characters it will be required coding... too bad. Thanks for the info.
