Hi all, I'm new here so show a lil' mercy b4 u flame me pls. I have searched thru some of the previous pages of posts but found nothing recent that was relevant so here goes...

I have both the original Elder Scrolls IV and the GOTY Edition and I have all of the official mods which work fine in sync with the OBMM BUT I cannot get any unofficial mods to work!

I have no trouble downloading them and have a folder full of mods I wish to use sitting on my desktop but unless they have an .omod extension OBMM won't see them!

Is there another program I need that I am as yet unaware of? Do I need to somehow convert these files to .omod? Or...

Constructive replies very appreciated, Thanks.

Personally I do not use a mod manager.

The Data Files selection menu, in the auto-play, does just fine.

Have a look at that and see if it makes them work.

What kinds of mods are you using first of all? Are quests in these quests in these mods working? Custom content (textures, armorers, and what not)?

And I don't recommend a mod manager unless you are planning to use a great deal of mods, since it is useful mainly for ordering mods in the correct load order (and I personally use Wyre Bash, but that's just me.).

I'm not trying to be an arse here or anything, but are you putting them in the Data folder? or are you just keeping them on your desktop folder?
