hi again What do you do in a fire team, as i have been asked a few times to join one but am not sure what you do. Also a question about the config file. At the moment i have a config file in each one of the profile folders for each mod, and also one in the et main folder. If i want to change a command in the config and want the same file in each of the profile folders, then i have to copy and paste the file into the different folders. With the different mods that there are i have to do this about six times ( very tedious ). Is there a way to have one config file that can be used by all the different mods, so that i just have to do one file, and for each mod to use that one config file. And another...... In the config file, for example ( seta m_filter "1" ) . What does the a mean in seta? does the "1" number always have to be in quotes? What do all the different letters mean after the seta? for example m_ g_ r_ s_ cg_ cl_ etc. etc. thanking you in advance...
One handy thing in the fire team is the symbol above your fire teams members if you have selected them all (look in options > controls for the key). If a enemy spy takes on the uniform of one of your fire teams members they won't have the symbol above there heads.
Unfortunately if you add a autoexec.cfg in the etmain folder it will not change the settings in the other mod profile configs. Only for the one in etmain if loaded normally or when using the +fs_game command, for the mod your starting the game with. You can although load scripts in a different mod if they are located in the etmain folder.
When you assign a value using set the value stands for that session of ET only. When you use seta the value is written to etconfig.cfg so that it is available in future sessions.
I always add quotes but it is not necessary. Only when you have a space in the value.
About the letters that is all explained on the following site: http://www.rtcw.jolt.co.uk/content/enemy_territory/cmdcvarlist/index.html Look at the Prefixes section. The cvarlist on that site is not 100% correct but it is one of the best on the web.
just a quick one to say thanks to *NL|Pure for the answers. Thank you
