Hi I want to edit the ET config file but i'm not sure which one to do. There is a config file in the etmain folder, one in the etmain/profile folder and also one in each of the different mods in the profiles folder. So i make that 6 config files that i think are all the same. So back to my question....Is there one that i can do that will automatically change the others or do i have to change all of them seperately. Also looking at the file is there anything that i need to put in there for better gameplay or alternately is there anything that needs to come out. Thank you

Hello Texaco First thing you should do is backup the cfg you are going to edit, that way if it all goes wrong you have your original cfg to start again with, the cfg in your etmain is for plain ET, if you edit that it will have no effect on the cfg's in the mod folders so you will have to edit them as well, you don't have to bother with the cfg in the profile folder, the link below is a list of cvars for ET and ETPRO.

******************************************************** I found this on the Jolt forums, it may help.

Rule of thumb for memory usage is 3/4 total RAM adding together hunk, zone and sound megs. For 512Mb RAM I'd recommend:-

/com_hunkmegs 192 /com_zonemegs 32 /com_soundmegs 32 /vid_restart

Note: The /vid_restart is if you're applying these in the console. If not just edit etconfig.cfg. *******************************************************
