The "unsupported" value SHALL be used in the attribute-sequence of an error response for those attributes which the printer does not support.
Herriot, Butler, November 7, 1997, [Page 9] Moore and Turner Expires May 7, 1998
INTERNET-DRAFT IPP/1.0: Protocol Specification November 7, 1997
The "default" value is reserved for future use of setting value back to their default value. The "unknown" value is used for the value of a supported attribute when its value is temporarily unknown. . The "compoundValue" SHALL be used to form a single value from a collection of values, and its value is the number of members forming the compound value, excluding the compoundValue. For example, a text value with a naturalLanguage override consists of 3 "values": a compoundValue with value 2, a naturalLanguage value and a text value.
The following table specifies the integer values for the value-tag
Tag Value (Hex) Meaning
0x20 reserved 0x21 integer 0x22 boolean 0x23 enum 0x24-0x2F reserved for future integer types
NOTE: 0x20 is reserved for "generic integer" if should ever be needed.
I won't pretend I know what this means but from what I have read it seems the error is a printer value "Reserved for future use" why it is happening when you launch the game I have no idea, but it may point you in the right direction.

Google search shows something with jpeg pictures and videocard support under linux. Another one says it could be caused by custom continent that has been downloaded.
Which sounds like it might be the case. Maybe you got something from a server with some jpeg file in it that is corrupted. I am really just putting it together there ^^
If that is the case, look in the etmain folder where you have installed ET. Remove any pk3 files except; pak0.pk3 pak1.pk3 pak2.pk3 mp_bin.pk3
And see if that worked. Other then that I suggest a reinstall. Delete the whole ET after uninstalling though, and download a new copy just to be safe.

Ah yes, I was searching Unsupported Marker Type 0x22, when I changed it to just Unsupported Marker Type it did show results of people having problems with jpeg's then I tried Enemy Territory Unsupported Marker Type and quite a few people are having the problem but not always the same error code, unfortunately none had a solution the only suggestion was to download again and try installing again, it is not only Enemy Territory that has the problem a few other games have it.
