Sorry, I just know how bad it is not to know the story. I played through the game too fast the first time and totally missed the story. Now I know every bit of it and it makes the game so much more atmospheric.

Did anyone notice in the opening video when the clone soldiers wake up. They all lift their guns up but one of them doesn't lift his gun .. if they're all controlled by fettel.. shouldn't they all be doing the exact same thing? hmmmm....

Hmmmm.. probibly just a glitch. You could say that the one that didnt lift his weapon is a squad leader and perhaps they are controlled deferently. Here's my question, who is that guy in the level "Afterimage" that says "It was'nt my fault" and "I did'nt understan, the dead stay dead." He looked like Bill moody, the guy at the water treatment plant, the one that said "there's something in the water." Another question is, and Im not sure if they just didnt think of this but what was keeping Paxten from just causing his own uprising. I mean wouldent it be a dumb idea to give one guy that much power? If you pissed him off he could do anything.

Not sure about the first question, but in response to the second: he'd never been outside, ever. He wouldn't have known that rebellion was a possibility. Or maybe there wasn't anything to get pissed off about. It was Alma's accumulated anger that made him crack.

yeah, alma takes control of fettel's mind, and she would've took control of yours to but you can see into her mind, she cant see into yours. Thats why fettel says she is afraid of you. Did any one ever bother to listen to the answering machines and lapton information? It helps out. Turn on the subtitles so u can just click on the phone/laptop and then read it so u dont have to stay and wait there

Didn't notice that, but one thing I did notice the second time through the game is you can kill the clones standing there asleep and take their weapons. Kind of nice too cuz just before that you're left with only a pistol when the ghosts appear.

I think they should of made the ending harder though, like with one SOB tough ghost throwing lightning at you while summonsing the other ghosts, or at least more multiangle approachs from them to trap you. There was only one instance like that I recall with the maze of crates, but even there you can easily use the crates to your advantage.

Another thing that surprised me was that Fettle was so easy to kill. There should have been a boss fight with him. I kept picturing him being able to toss you and your weapons around with a wave of his hand if you got too close to him. You see him in the intro killing the guy with a very fast martial arts type punch, and catching you by surprise early on in the game knocking you out. Then you're lead up to the ending by lots of darkness, and being limited to a pistol, which makes you think there's going to be a tough fight.

I wanted to see Fettle with real fast reflexes, cat like lunges, biting you, intimidating you with his taunts, and limited ammo to take him on. It should have been a fight where you had to use SlowMo aot, conserve ammo, and take cover while timing your approach.

It doesn't make sense that everyone he commands attacks you, but not him.

Glugkillerwhat the hell happened to jankowski i was expecting him to pop up in the later levels but he never did, cool game anyway i enjoyed the fight scenes story was kick ass.

Wasn't there something about Jawowski hitting his head and walking in the harbor with amnesia? I could be wrong....

Fettel was holding a knife when he killed the security guard, you see it when he is walking. Also, if fettel wanted to kill you he would have done it in the beginning, when he knocked you out.Actually, that would've been pretty funny, like that happens and then u see a flash of fettel eating your organs and then it says "THE END" hahah

Also, i mean, a fight would've been okay, but it kinda makes it wierd. Fettel was not paying attention when you killed him bcuz u notice when you shoot him he was "eating" alice wade, and then falls down backwards, and he prob knows that alma will take u into her nightmare with him so he dies.

Didn't notice the knife, I'll have to look at that scene again. True Fettle could have killed you early on, but I think him knowing of your shared origin made him think he could persuade you, much like Data's evil twin of Star Trek tried to influence his brother to go against humans, which was ultimately his downfall.

You get the feeling of this in one of the first cutscenes when he says to you "What's the first thing you remember?"...as if enlightening you to the memory of the corruption involved in your birth would turn you against those commanding you. He also tries to justify his actions by telling you they deserve it when he kills his victims.

This game's story really is more intricate than it seems when playing the game. I feel that is largely due to details of it coming through low quality, faint answering machine and com link messages.

Adding more contact with key characters in the game, and dialogue thrown in just before and after via cutscenes, would have made the game and it's story more real, haunting and tangible (understandable).

You get plenty of time with Alice Wade, but it's really not as important as the suggested boss fight, with more meaningfull words exchanged, not to mention a more significant encounter with Harlan Wade.

Even the encounters with Alma could have been more haunting and revealing with her having better dialouge.
