mizzzzzlydude the consles r already owned by a top pc with like SLi 7800 and 4 gigs of ram and a 4 GHz cpu..........

Erm, the thing is... A kind of computer like that will cost over Ā£1,000 custom built at the least... The consoles are designed to be cheap but effective for their roles. You just can't compare them. Please, don't. I will be happy if it comes out for console, because I am almost certain it won't run on my comp. I will be upgrading on my birthday. (Oct 10... Wait... Kind of a coincidence, the launch date is 1 day later :D ) Hopefully it will run OK then. You can get intensive games to run on consoles well, ie. doom 3 on the xbox. The games run so well on what they have, and the reason is that the designers know what specifications they are going to have to be utilising, thus they conform/optimise the game to run perfectly.

There is still a cut off point to the max capability of the machine.

There's a cut off point for any machine unless you overclock it. Then it still has a cut off point, it's just slightly higher.

I suppose it could do, like they added extra content to GTA: SA when it came to pc and they added 3d wheels to VC when they went to Xbox. As for a cut off point, it's like a point that the pc can't go past because it's hardware won't allow it.

Hmm...VUG games on consoles? I'll look into that and edit this post... -EDIT- After searching vugames.com, I came upon this: VUGAMES MAKES GAMES FOR CONSOLES! OMGWTF! Just go there and find out... And to be on topic, if F.E.A.R. comes to the Xbox 360/PS3, then it'll probably run better than it does on PC. Mind you that games on consoles usually (I say usually) don't have FPS problems since they're made to run on that certain hardware. I'm still gonna love it for PC, though, cause we can't make the mod on a console :-D

fps on a consol will always suck becuase there is no quick save and quick load feature.. you cant relive that awsome fire fight over and over... and plus no mods and low frame rate tvs and lower resolutions.., the far cry game for the consol is totaly diffrent from the pc game.. practicaly a whole new game.. and by the way the gamecube version was cancled a while back and so was the ps2 version.. but the graphics suck anyways with a stupid over exposer feature covering up the craptastic graphics..

That was kinda off-topic. I think that F.E.A.R. MIGHT come to next-gen consoles. If it does, then it does. If it doesn't, then we have it for PC anyways. And speaking of TVs. Normal TVs are stuck at 1024x768, yeah, but HDTVs can use widescreen and higher resolutions. And having a fixed resolution can be good. Playing at a steady 30 fps is better than it dipping down to 10 fps.
