LOL, this is a good one VS, it's not only something I've become used to doing without in my quest for no scratch videos, you're asking for proof without producing any yourself.:spank:

One could probably get through the entire game without more than 50 points worth of health powerups in FEAR, as I've shown in capture. I never thought first person shooters should be about easter egg hunts, but lately it seems everyone has to have some adventure trek, whether it makes sense or not.

It's odd though that every time I make a video of it even though I know I don't need the powerups, I worry about getting to them just to show people where they are. Maybe it's the redundant things that are the true spice of life.:clueless:

Then you missed several. I recall getting to 180 one of my first times through (16 boosters) and found I had missed some. I was guessing there were 200HP total after finding I'd missed some.

Recently I've read there are at least 22 boosters, possibly more, though only 21 can be used. It seems a bit odd to me they have so many of them, but at the same time cut you off at an oddball number which makes you wind up with 205HP, rather than an even 200.

Like I said, I find many if not most of them to be an unecessary easter egg hunt. If they had made the hardest difficulty level such that you couldn't use SlowMo, THEN hunting for them would have had much more purpose and kept the game more challenging for long term playability.

Well, it would make for more of a big to do if it were the total 205 possible, if that's what you're into, but 180 is so common it's not something most would consider significant enough to "prove", so to speak.

You can see me with 180 at the start of my last full level video, Bypass. http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=272353 If you have an extremely slow connection like dial up, let me know and I'll take a screenshot of it with VDub and post that.

As there are two more levels to go after Bypass that pretty much makes it obvious as well that you can go higher than 180. Like I said though I've never really been into hunting for the boosters. I might try finding all of them my next time through the game though and limit myself to no SloMo.

Thanks, making videos can be tricky at first, but not too hard once you know how to tackle the tough spots.

I generally give lengthy advice on all the details to those whom regularly watch my videos and make comments, provided they are respectful & reasonable ones.

Since your lack of response* has left me wondering how much you value the contributions though, I have no way of knowing if you'll genuinely become interested in the time and diligence it takes to make them, thus I will just provide you some links to get started.

* I have made numerous FEAR videos and I don't generally see you responding to the threads they're posted in. Making videos is not something you do on a whim, it takes a lot of time, patience & at least some financial commitment in buying a capture prog to do it well. Doing so by expecting the help of someone that knows how to make them also takes a certain amount of appreciation for what's been contributed, and I just don't see your prescence there.

Alright well I just downloaded FRAPS so tell me a bit on how it works. What do you need to buy to make a good video? I have an okay gaming rig I can play FEAR at 1024*768 maxed out with 2xAA but without soft shadows and I have med vol lighting only. How much time dose it take up for you?

Alright I tried it out FRAPS I made a short little video lasted only 30 secondes and the file was fucking 200 mbs that is not right. I guess I might have to invest in some editing programmes right? Or or theire any free ones? Why when I recored my Fram rates go down by alot? Is there anyway to speed things up without changing settings?
