Howdy folks.

I'm new to the boards and I thought I'd post here first cuz I LOVE F.E.A.R.

My system is as follows: (I'm upgrading soon so the specs in the () are what I'm upgrading to)

AMD Athlon FX-55 @ 3.011GHz (upgrading to an FX-60 soon for Dual-Core) Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard (upgrading to a DFI board soon for better OCing) 4GBs of RAM - 2GB Patriot PC3200, 2GB OCZ PC4000 - all running at 446MHz @ 2.5-3-3-8 2.9Vs BFG 7800GTX OC 512MB X-FI Fatal1ty FPS Sound Card Plextor SATA Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Burner Samsung Spinpoint 160GB HDD (upgrading to a 250GB SATA2 HDD with new system) Thermaltake BigWaterSE CPU liquid cooling system on a Thermaltake Shark case (Upgrading to a Thermaltake Tai-Chi case soon with liquid cooling built in)

As you probably guess, I play on Maximum settings, but on the video card I turn soft shadows off and the resolution up to 1152x864 (better refresh rate, raises my Frames Per Second with VSync on by almost 10 per second) And my numbers: Min: 44 Avg: 72 Max: 102

I can't wait to upgrade to a 7900 and get my new system, F.E.A.R. will be butter all the way up at around 1600x1200 then, hehe.

One thing that sucks is my ping on online playing cuz I have crappy Direcway internet I always get killed before I can fire a shot LOL

The "starting cost" just to get the system going was 2K, and that was for an FX-55 90nm core when they first came out, the motherboard (Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe), a 6600GT, an Audigy2 ZS Platinum, the hard drive, and case/PSU. By the time I'm done the system should be worth over 6K, including monitors. I started building it back in July. And it's chick, not dude ;) as if you couldn't tell by the pink font :-D

You can either agree with meor be wrong.

Thank you very much ;) it's gonna be nicer when I get done. Has anyone seen the Thermaltake Tai-Chi case? Only bad thing about it is it isn't all black, other than that, it's wicked cool. :)
