This is a new technology which softens the 'edges' of particle effects that appear when they collide with another object. The first time I've seen it used in a game was in Call of Duty 2. It made smoke look fantastic, with little or no performance cost. As F.E.A.R. uses so many smoke and particle effects, it is the one game where I think those particle 'edges' really stand out. This new softening effect would make the game look even more fantastic than it does already. I'm just throwing an idea to any modders out there, hoping, praying that someone will be able to implement it in F.E.A.R. Take a look at these screenshots from Call of Duty 2, and you'll see what I mean: COD2_8.jpg In the first picture, there's a very distinct line where the smoke meets the ground. In the next 2 pictures, that 'edge' disappears, and smoke starts to look real.

Hot linking has been disabled..

this is what you do.. go to a page on that website, then copy the URL of that image, and paste it in the browser with the website.. it should then display.
