Ok guys here`s my system specs first: Asus A8V Deluxe mobo AMD 64/3000+ 1Gig Geil 3200DDR ram (2x512mb) Sparkle GeForce FX5500/128 Soundblaster Live 5.1
I tried to run the F.E.A.R demo, but I couldn`t get anywhere near any decent looking settings. The best I could do was 640x480 with everything way down to minimum. Needless to say the graphics looked like somebody had sneezed at the screen with a mouthful of porridge. Surely this can`t be right:confused: Can it?
Hah, I think it's your graphics card. ;)
Ya its probably your GFX card, F.E.A.R. is a VERY demanding game, i think it says for Nvdia that u have to have altleast a 5900 256mb card...
EDIT: Acually im looking at my box for the game right now and it says it doesnt even support 5500's, your lucky just to be running it.... The lowest card it will go to in the supported chipset is as i said before the 5900's....
masterstevenx4F.E.A.R. is a VERY demanding game
More demanding then my grandmother..
Upgrade your gfx card if you can.
DFI lanparty NF3 2800+ 64 bit 6800 ultra extreme 1 gig OCZ platinum yada yada yada
I cant run it on maxed everything either.... And i payed a ton for my system, But its 6 months old now. But yes, the GFX cards gotta go if you wanna run FEAR.
Hmmmmm:uhm: Thanks guys. *Goes off and starts smashin piggy banks*
Hmmm. What can I get for 30p?
1G of ram can't let me play on high textures w/o swaping as well - 256MB DDR3 6800GT at Ultra+ clocks still did not generate usefull framerate, despite my average PR3800+ cpu anyway :(
F.E.A.R. is quite slow suxxka :uhm:
No surprise that on your machine it won't run anywhere near usable. I did not wonder at all.
Bad news for your budget, huh? :o
