Here are my system specs. AMD Ahtlon 64 3500+ 2.2Ghz 512Kb L2 Cache 2000Mhz FSB 200 GB Hard Drive 1024MB DDR SDRAM Dual Channle ---TheCard--- PCIE Connect 3D ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256MB GDDRIII OK Fear Recommends a 256 MB Radeon 9800 Pro The X700 Pro is a higher card than the 9800 Pro correct? Well I have to run the game with the graphics turned way down and the resolution at 860x480, If I have it at 1024x768 with the graphics low the frame rates are horrrible!!!! And if i have the resolution up and the graphics up, well that just doesn't work. Do ya'll think I may have a software or hardware conflict? I expected my system to be able to run this game pretty high, but instead I'm barely running it. Please Help!!!!

If you've patched the game, then theres your problem. I also got lower framerates in the test settings when i used 1.07 or 1.05. Somehow these patches have decreased the performance in the game regardless of your machine
My specs as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ 2.0 GHz Leadtek PX7900GT 256MB Patriot 1GB DDR2 800 PC6400 Abit KN9 Ultra
I dont know if VU or Sierra is aware of this, but they should fix it. Its been happening since 1.04 or 1.05 i think.
I post to get attention

The X700 is not a very good card.. it is about equivelant to the 6600 in Nvidia........ though.. you should be able to run at 1024 no prob... is your's patched?

Well that's strange why did the patches decrese performance they should be improving them not make them even more incopatible.
I suffer exactly the same problems in m/p and s/p, stalling, crashing back to desktop etc. I dont have any experience of earlier versions only played for 2 months, if it is a patch problem it will be addresed hopefully. Here are my specs. P4 3.4 Ghz 7600 GT 1 Gig Corsair Ram No overclocking Running F.E.A.R. on mostly high settings, 1024 x 768 Average 45 fps CPU Does run fairly hot though, 55 - 60 degrees, hitting 65 sometimes.
huh? I dont have any performance or software probs with fear that's a little bit funny because i read that Spammer1557 has got a 7900gt my PC: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ @ 2.2ghz 2 Geforce 6600GT @ 128mb Abit AN8 Sli Ftal1ty 1.5 gb ram Ageia PhysX P1 Sounblaster X-Fi (no overclocking)
that's completle unreal.... FEAR settings: 1024 x 786 ( is it possible to set it on 1280 x 1024? i can't remember it) computer = maximum graphic = high average fps = 60-80 (somtimes 120)
sometimes i don't understand developer -.-
I honestly have been having the same problems and I don't know why. It's very strange. Right when I install it it runs fine, smoothly, etc. I shut it down, and from there on out every time I play the video is sluggish like ANYTHING, even if I restart my computer. I even tried those omega drivers for ATI video cards, didn't help. Heres my list of gear: AMD Athlon 2900+ 2.0GHZ 1024(22 if your technical) Ram Radeon X800 GTO AGP 256MB - Drivers are from 8/2/2006 Realtek AC97 Audio No Overclocking As I said above, I did have the omega drivers, I do not anymore. I uninstalled them and got the Catalyst drivers back from ATI.com Game is fully updated. Though I am wondering if it DOES have something to do with my hardward, but still doubt it at the same time. The reason I think this is because everytime when I install something from CD/DVD, or burn something to a CD/DVD - Note I said CD/DVD - my computer gets very slow and I have no clue why. This has been happening all the time since I reformatted my computer last which was about a month ago. Though right when it stops, and I mean right when it stops, its fine. The one biggest reason I can tell its slowing down the computer is because when I go to play songs it makes them very grainy and slow. I do not think that I have a problem with my CD/DVD drive, but hey, anything is possible. Any suggestions with this?
