Hi everybody.I just wanted to say,I had F.E.A.R. before...it was a great game(and still is)...my DVD-Rom blew up along with my F.E.A.R. cd....LOL. So tomorrow Im gonna buy new one, isnt expensive around here, and I will need your help guys. When I install F.E.A.R. and after that I click on the shortcut on my desktop or the one in the F.E.A.R. main directory I always get a strange message...something to do with the DLL.I cant play F.E.A.R. on my comp, but on my laptop I can.Hm...why ? I will post the "error pictures" here tomorrow. I was just asking if somebody is willing to help me out. Thanks.

Sorry it wasnt a DLL error but was " FEAR.exe-Application Error " For example : The instruction at " 0x7c8ef4fe" referenced memory at "0x7c8ef4f0".The memory could not be written "written".Every time I get the same error but with different numbers and letters that are between the quotes. Or I get this error : The exception Privileged instruction. (0XC0000096)occurred in the application at location 0x7c8ef554.Also with different numbers and letters. I remind you that on my comp I cant even run it.On my laptop I can run it,then I get in the game, only hear sounds without the screen.I know its a video driver....That doesnt concern me.It concerns me that F.E.A.R. wont even run on my comp, every time I get the messages I wrote above. If you can help I would be really gratefull to you. Thanks.

ok .. Specs of your pc m8 ? Could be by the sounds of the exception error, that you may have a ram issue. Get memtest86 and test your ram.

Did you test your ram ? And you should try and shut off hyperthreading.

Your card supports it just fine. Make sure that driver is up to date. The errors you are getting are Memory errors. One or more pieces of your ram could be failing or perhaps overheating.

My suggestion is, as a pc game player, you may want to take an interest in your pc and what is what and what does what when you do something when doing nothing at all ... LOL ...
