I'm too cool to Post
23rd May 2004
I'm playing through far Cry again and I keep finding really cool stuff that I missed the first time so I figured I'd start this thread so everyone could post stuff they've seen... You could probably play the game loads of times before you'd actually have seen everything it has to offer...
a few things that I saw that I thought were cool:
- Hanggliders!! these are everywhere... besides the obvious one in the pier level, there's 2 in Rebellion, 2 in Boat, and probably loads more i haven't found yet...
- there's a huge detour you can take in rebellion(I love that level) over a broken bridge(either in a hangglider or in a 4x4) that goes almost halfway around the level...
- Finally, theree's actually three landing beaches you can use in the Fort level.. the main one and another to either side of it... and then you can sneak around behind the main, central beach and mow down all the mercs with the mounted machinegun - brilliance!
Theres loads of other stuff I love in this game but i'll let you talk for a while.....

I'm still in the process of playing the SP, but I'll keep that in mind and look out for such possibilities :lookaround: ....otherwise leave it up to my friend mono to explore & discover all of the scecret areas that CryTek HOPED to keep under wraps in the dense foliage :D

I have found that a lot of the physics work for you correctly. One such is the method of using an automatic weapon, you should not hold down the trigger when shooting at the enemy (unless he's right on top of you), you should fire no more that two to three rounds at a time, as the kick of the round leaving the muzel, forces the muzel up away from your target. Using this method will give you much better hit scores. Happy Hunting:D P/S You can also use this same kick to walk the rounds from the ground up through the enemys body.;)
Slightly cooler than a n00b

This is the beauty of an open planned game.....you find new things each time....Morrowind was exactly like this and its brillliant as things are always discovered everytime you play the game....ok you have to copmplete the same missions as before but exploring areas you didnt do 1st time is great....like watching a film and seeing something that you didnt see or catch before.

I loved exploring the jungle parts of the single player, great fun. There are loads of different ways to complete the outdoor levels, and loads of good sniper spots as well.
