You need to be more specific, how much RAM, are the video, sound & MB chipset drivers updated? Even onboard sound chips need to be updated. Also, keeping your system clean (scanned), defragged, and all background apps turned off while playing (especially antivirus, antispyware, and firewalls) is key, especially with low spec like that.

Also, are you running XP with Service Pack 2 (SP 2)? Do you have it fully updated to DirectX 9.0c?

Why are you running the game unpatched? Patching it to 1.33 may help. Your video card of what you mentioned though, is the weak link. It barely meets the basic requirements, and falls below the recommended requirements.

A 128MB FX 5950 or better is recommended, and 512-1024 RAM. DirectX 9.0b is included on the game disc, but I recommend 9.0c.

Just because it ran originally with that video card does not mean it can handle it, but that may depend on the in game settings you use. Do you go with the settings the game selects, or use your own? You should be using low settings with that card.

You can run an old beat up car on the freeway and maybe even do 70 MPH, but that doesn't mean it will continue to be able to do that. In other words, you may have put more stress on that card than it can handle. Going into your Nvidia control panel will tell you what temp it runs at after hard gaming, ity may be heating up too much.;)

As soon as you're done [EVERYBODY LISTEN] installing Farcry, install patches 1.1, 1.2 and 1.31! Patching the game will solve many problems encountered with an unpatched version. There's a reason CryTek releases them...to fix problems. :) This should be a sticky, to patch Farcry!
