This is a demonstration of how the Volcano level can be beat on Realistic in well under 10 minutes without taking any damage.
There are probably more efficient ways to play it, but I enjoyed the up close, in your face intensity.
Time is 8:58, songs in order of appearance are Parabola and Crawl Away, by Tool. Sorry that I've been away for so long, I've had various problems to sort out. Hope you enjoy the show.;)

Where's the video?
Pretty good. You beat the whole game on Realistic? Meh. I'd like to see a Farcry 'done quick' movie. Think you could swing it?

Thanks, and yes I have, several times, but only lately have I started this no damage goal, in Far Cry that is. I've done plenty like that for Painkiller though, including some :23-5:28 speedruns.. Like I said before though, the closest I'll likely come to making a Far Cry done quick movie will probably be doing one of these for each level, and people can play them back to back if they like. Of the six levels I've made videos of so far, I think the total time is just under 1 hour. It's quite a project just to do an entire level video, but then again, I don't make maps, I know that's plenty time consuming too. It's funny how many people see these as speed runs, but I'm really not into fastest times, I just like to keep the file size and project time minimal. It also makes for more excitement in watching the video, as there is mostly action in it. To tell you the truth, I was worried some would think this one to be boring, because the goal to do it with no damage made the time run longer where I ran down into the volcano, then back up, which was to spread out the Fatboys so they wouldn't rush me all at once. When I engage in speed runs, it's usually due to someone that is going for the fastest time themselve putting up a challenge, like the Shadowland level of Painkiller's expansion Battle Out of He11. I managed to do it in :23, which may be the fastest time yet. Painkiller is crazy with the low times you can achieve due to using tarot cards that effect time though. I'm just glad to be back doing any kind of videos really, I was going through some tough times with various things.
Yeah I saw your PK videos. But a WHOLE game quick run would be awesome there are plenty of servers that would take a big file. There are also many temporary large file hosts to email your file to the server. [yousendit.com] I think it would just show your dedication and comittment to the whole video-capturing that you're doing with each individual level.
A CAL Map.

Amerika have you got my PMs?
Captain Amerika...there are plenty of servers that would take a big file. There are also many temporary large file hosts to email your file to the server. [yousendit.com]
I have used YouSendIt, with a file just under 300MB. It had to be cut in two pieces because it would not send. It also sends fairly slow compared to the upload speeds my Filfront filepage can handle. The way I look at it, not many people would want to DL one huge file continuously anyway. The DL time wouldn't really be any worse with a file for each level either. I'll probably revamp my Gantlet III video into an entire level video for River next. It has the Fraps watermark on it, but the beginning and ending I add probably won't, as I've been using Game Cam lately. My Rescue video was like that too, so it's no big deal I guess.
BTW, what exactly is the point of this "Rep Power" thing anyway? Don't they know you and I are the only ones contributing here for the most part? Textbook ways of rating forum members is really quite silly I find.
Please don't kick.
