This is the entire Dam level, played in Realistic mode, and is my first video using the Game Cam recording program.
The length is only 7:59/86MB, fairly short for an entire level video.
Although this level involves a lot of dangerous enemies, it is only so hard to play if the right methods are used, requiring little stealth even in Realistic mode.
The next installments of my Far Cry videos will likely be Game Cam recordings of the levels that are rated by many as being the hardest levels.
Along with the ones I've done entire level videos of (Boat & Dam), Archive, Cooler, Catacombs, and Volcano have received difficulty ratings of 9-10 by some that write walkthroughs for the game.
My intention is to show that even these levels can be played fairly non stop, with little damage, even on Realistic mode, with good strategy.
The demo version of Game Cam vs the Fraps demo certainly allows for more non stop recording, with much smaller file sizes, and therefor less strain on your system.
Those that have higher end systems and opt to buy the recording program will likely prefer the slightly higher video detail Fraps offers, but is mostly noticeable only when using 640 size compression I've found.
Fatboy Farm: Erupting Enemies Harvest that Hummer!
once again Omen great video and of course, your skills are once again shown, how the hell do you get so good
maybe play the game a lot? know the enemies are easy to fool/bypass? just barely complete the objectives? here's my challenge to you omen: complete the entire game on realistic in 6 hours and show us how you did it on your little camera program there.
yes,a challenge for you Omen.....

Show you how I did it meaning the recording/video editing? It almost sounds like you're resenting me for what few skills I have as far as the technical aspects of making the videos, but rest assured, there is MUCH more to delve into than I have, especially if you use more sophistocated editing programs than Windows Movie Maker. I have tried to steer you to good links for learning how, and even offered detailed info if you need more help, but I hadn't seen you reply so I assumed you were doing OK with it, or decided not to. Have you tried making any yet, if so I'd like to see them? A 6 hr run through of the entire game on Realistic would no doubt be a fun challenge, and quite possible I'm sure, but to make a video of the entire game would be quite an undertaking. I don't think anyone that makes videos would even consider it, let alone attempt such thing. A few facts to consider reguarding that request: To make the video convincing that the entire game was played nonstop for 6 hrs would mean a 1 segment movie of enormous length. Even at the lowest compression setting (generally about 500kbps) for adequately viewable results (although at a smallish 320-480 viewing size), the total file size of the movie would be about 1.3 Gig! I would have to either finance my own high bandwidth website (too expensive), or finish the game in under 4hrs 37min, just to have a small enough file size to use the current hosting site I use (Filefront), which very generously hosts videos up to 1 Gig in size. Then there's the fact that you need a very good and expensive video editing program to compress even videos longer than 30-40 min all in one segment, Movie Maker wouldn't likely be able to do it. Aside from that, even with a fairly fast 1.5MB connection, it would take about 1 hr and 40 min just to download it. Sorry guys, but there would have to be WAY more than two people interested to even consider such a project.
dude your vids are amazing!, i'am so enjoying seeing them, plz dont stop i want to see more vids plz! :D

Thanks D.PRO!, and welcome to the forum.:) Yes, I will be making some more, I've just taken a bit of a small break from it recently, while shopping for and playing other games, non of course, which compare to Far Cry so far. I will likely do the entire Archive level next, and want to do entire level videos of Cooler, Catacombs and Volcano too, as mentioned above. If you have any suggestions that are level length or less, I may entertain other options as well. Good to see this forum slowly growing guys, let's try to keep it that way.
I would like to know the name of the soundtrack you use - some of the songs are rather cook, my friend, cook. One sounds like Chevelle....a little - what are the titles?

Glad you liked it Scythan, that's a band I just recently started listening to called Earshot, if you're referring to the Fatboy Farm video. The songs in order of appearance are Wait, Down, and Headstrong. I like some of Chevelle's stuff too.:nodding:
