Interesting. Yea, they are probably working now on Doom 3, Battlefield 1942 and vietnam, and Max Payne II mods.

all the FarCry mods are going to be a few months away from release, they will be HUGE, alot of the total conversions should be a 500mb+...

That's crazy, I don't like large mods, why they don't they just make an entirely new game and sell it.

lol, that would take a much longer time, they'd have to buy an engine or make their own

I read in my PCGamer that a coop mod has been developed. The only problem is that when i click on the link to download it, I get sent to some german website and I can't understand anything.

Can i see a use of vegetation for a total conversion for e.g. since the engine is so damn pretty how bout a vietnam mod or pacific assault since the engines better then the quake 3 one anyway graphically.

Personally, I'd settle for some stuff that just tweaked gameplay enough to make it play differently. I won't double-post, but I put a thread up with some of my own ideas for a mod.

Seriously, I'm quite suprised that there aren't mods out for FarCry; the tools are so much easier to learn than Radiant, UnrealEd, or a similar package...

it may be easier to use, but modders are used to radiant and unrealed, as they are the tools for the more popular games (q3, ut, doom3, ut2004, etc). the sandbox is easy, but it is good for newbie mappers. the tools are not what the modding community expects. i hope these mods are going to get released tho
