Hey, i thought i would introduce you all to my new modification. Essentially what i, and my team, are trying to create is a first person roll playing game. Some of Far Cry's advanced details will be cut to allow for larger areas on slower machines, but the gameplay will make up for it. Player skills wont have as much effect on you as in other rpgs, but i hope my ideas will make them more enjoyable.

Instead of the morrowind technique for ranged weapons skills, where you can see the arrow hit the enemy but somehow miss we will employ a dynamic crosshair system. Your skills essentially effect the spread of your weapons, on your HUD your normal crosshair will be replaced by a large circle, the circle shrinks as your skills increase, the circle represents the accuracy your going to get from the weapon, if your circle is completely inside the target, you will hit it, but if the target fills only 1/4 of your target then you have a 1 in 4 chance of hitting it.

Alot of materials will be required for this modification, so im going to need quite a few modelers, coders, skinners, etc. If you want to help out, even if its short term or intermittent, or if you want to take a look at the mod or contribute in other ways then you can find our web page here.

Thank you for the comments and the news post :) I have added a link to this site from the Vann Verden mod page. As was stated on another site's forums the guns are a bit low poly. These arent final renders, there will be details added in future renders, which i will place in this thread when they are completed.

Hi, I'm Infinint, Head of Case 9 which this mod is currently working out of. Although this mod takes place 300-400 years in te future, it will have no modern day weapontry such as lasers.
