I know that atm, there are "200.004.786.360.890.420.593.332" WWII games and still "632.531.667.543.562" are being developed. But I think that this engine has stuff that no other WWII game has ever had, not only am I talking about the real physics and rag-doll physics. But also the easy modding possibilities. I am learning how to map and it's coming pretty quick and good, I think It's very easy to make textures since all you need is the right seize and color, and the detail files are all we need...I think. I was thinking of a WWII game that takes place all over the world. You would be fighting as a American soldier and you will be fighting against German and Japanese soldiers. There wont be concentration camps or any of that horrifying stuff, just the combat. We could make a single-player campaign that starts with Pearl harbor, then leads us into the pasific, takes us to Normandy, then Belgium and then Germany. As we all know it were the russians that took Berlin first, and I wasn't thinking of changing any facts! Since there are already a number of Japanese WWII objects in the game I think we will need a few people who can re-model those things, or if easier, re-create them.

I hope there are people interested in this Idea, and I hope there will be a few people to join the 'team' which currently only excists out of me and me...err...what ever, forget about what I just sayd! Anyway, I can be the webmaster, soon mapper and a little bit 2D graphic artist. PLEASE JOIN ME!:deal:

:cya: Hi, I agree that a WW2 mod would be great for this engine/game. I mean it is set in a south pacific once-ww2 japanese setting. Its definatly a good idea, and so would A jurassic park mod. imagine that. :smokin:

Dude i think this mod will be the greatest of them all. I myself am trying to make a pirate one but i think the WWII mod will conquer over all mods, with this game's engine and graphics it will be perfect. I think this becuase i am a HUGE WWII fan i love everything about it (cept our troops dying). I'd like to see this mod. But i hope my mod turns out well too. Best of Luck to u maybe we can work together. to create the two mods.

Hi Guys

I´d like to mention that there are already some World War 2 mods in developement. Some of them focussing on things u suggest.

There are:

1. The Pacific Combat Mod SP / MP focussing on the Pacific Theatre. Their page is offline for quite some time now so I don´t know if they are still active.

2. Frontline Soldiers Mod MP focussing on the European Theatre. Their page is off for two weeks now.

3. (and last) is my mod: The Green Devils: Crete 1941 SP focussing on german airborne operations (starting with Crete). We are definitely active and working. URL:http://www.fj-mod.de/news2/index.php

In my personal opinion we should keep the numbers of ww2 mods low to avoid the problems I´ve encountered with Operation Flashpoint having 13 (!) World War 2 mods and several independent workers at high tide, most covering the same theatre and everyone lacking members to work efficiently. So I suggest u pic the mod of ur choice and join them instead of starting a new one with (maybe) the same theatre...

And by the way: I´m still recruiting...

Hi all... i have done many maps, well about 6 and would have no problem bieng a mapper for this mod so... what do you say? I can specialise in pearl harbour maps but i need the models of the boats and stuff because im no good at making my own models. at the moment im experimenting with the ai and thier behaviour. i can do ai anchors but not paths (yet) mainly i can do land and texturing of maps. if you need a sample... just ask!:deal:
