I just got Farcry to work, Used a different disc, but after around 3 minutes of playing it just crashes and my PC reboots, I had this problem with Rome: Total war too so it might be something with my PC but can anyone help?

Well I have everything on low. Do you think there might be a problem with my Video card or maybe it's outdated? I have a Nvidia Geforce 6200 LE is that good enough?

i actually saw 6200 somewhere on a pretty highend game, so it should work, did you get all the drivers (basically updates, or hotfixes)? or if you got later drivers they might be the problem too, too old or new can cause probs. you could probably run farcry on a higher setting. maybe that's the problem! too low of a setting. What are your system specs anyways?

the processor is good, the os is good ram is ok but try to get the latest directx. the june version. the only other prob would be with the ram, but i don't think so since fc only requires 512 MB so it's double what it says. try the direct x. also when you configure fc with the configuration. go to the start menu>ubisoft>Farcry>configure far cry. keep the corpse stay to 10 to 15 sec. under video options full screen no anti aliasing under video options advanced: texture filter quality bilinear anisotropic filter 1 shadow quality low lighting quality low. the rest you can mess around with till it works.

Microsoft Download Center: DirectX at the top of the page for direct x 9c june. maybe that'll help. if not it seems that people can run fc with higher ram. Don't think it's your gfx card. might be if it has too new of a driver. game might not recognize a l8r ver.

I had that same Problem and it turned out to be my sound card (That will teach me to upgrade to a 5.1 Cheapy/Cruddy Card)
