Please stop double-posting, that will rather piss people off than convince them to help you. When did you install the patch, and do you have any custom mods or maps installed? Please make a detailed list of additions you installed. :)

:moved: to the appropriate forum, and the other thread has been closed (as this one was replied to). Be patient for a response, lots of people will read your thread, but usually only the ones that can offer any help will reply.

sry bout the double thread, wont happen again

when i originally got the game a month ago i installed every patch in order up to 1.33 recently i installed multiplayer american map pack 1.0 then mpeacention, mpboatv2, mp_tank_v2, mpcargo, mpheights. Then i installed singleplayer map pack 1.1, which was a mistake cuz to play those maps i think you have to use .devmode and i really dont want to mess with that. I thought the problem might have been one of the mods so i deleted all of them except matto3. and it still crashes. when i do beat the game i might just reinstall, however, i really like matto2 and 3. so maybe just install those without the map pack?

The best thing to do, if you have the room on your HDD, is to have a seperate install of FarCry for each mod you want to have;Seeings how you can only play one game at a time, you should keep the number of copies low, as this can chew up available space real quick.

For instance: * I have FarCry installed in the default location that is retail (no changes/additions made) * I then copied it to a different directory, and have the K9 Vision mod installed * I then copied it to a different directory, and have another mod installed (testing this one) * I have just recently made another copy to a different directory for another mod to be installed soon for beta testing. (As soon as it's ready)

Having more then one mod installed on a game may cause a conflict...

My suggestion to you is to do a fresh install and start over.

Thanks for the reply, I think I well do a fresh install. Im at the volcano now so im just about done with game. I have about 85 gigs to play with on my HDD so making a couple copies of the game shouldnt be a prob.

If you're going to be installing different mods, etc, it's the best way that I know of to do it conflict free.

Also, don't forget to adjust the location for the desktop icon. (To make it easier to load the right game, I changed the icon name as well. I'll post a screenshot when I get home to show you what I mean)
