Hello, I am Sergeant Nitro from the 101st Airborne Division Clan.

We are currently looking for recruits to enlist in the 101st Airborne Division Clan. The 101st Airborne Division Clan, emulates the US Armed Forces in all relevant tactical combat areas in order to optimize our combat readiness and tactical superiority for purposes of realism, effeciency, and competition, as well as entertainment.

Our leadership driven “boots on the ground” and various supporting unit elements are highly trained teams of “squad based play”-elite battle-hardened, first responder, tactically thinking civilian, military, and ex-military personnel who are gamers that achieve the highest level of excellence and honor on the battlefield.

Due to our active interest in being an “Extreme Realism Authentic Military Tactics Only”Clan, we follow the strict discipline of military conduct and adhere to the tight "By The Book" regimented observation and use of the chain of command. The 101st Airborne Division Clan®(a.k.a. 101st Air™), and extended affiliates are also a community of realism enthusiasts who are interested in learning and putting into practice the correct use of precise military tactics and combat engineering. A sound Strategy, better use of weapons-delivery systems while engaged with the enemy, and achieving a better -more satisfying team-oriented game has the benefit of being able to depend on your team to do their specific jobs instead of team killing you for a jet or ignoring you when you need a medic. We have found this type of realism and game play to be the most efficient virtual combat there is, and being the closest thing to a virtual military and a complete strike force can do nothing less than achieve the same results the REAL troops achieve in real world combat.

As with most clans, the 101st Airborne have a Specified Ranking System, with each rank comes more responsibility, as well as opportunities. Below is an Example of the Ranking Structure.

Non-Commissioned Officers: Private E1, Private E2, Private First Class, Specialist, Corporal, Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major, and Sergeant Major of the Army.

Comissioned Officers: Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and General.

Currently the Highest Ranking officer is Colonel Papabear, he is the Clan Founder, and highest Ranking Official, but enough about ranks.

After Basic Combat Training, a Private E2, is then POSSIBLY offered a choice based on his training, he may have a chance of joining a specific branch with a Specific MOS (Military Occupational Specialty), the Private may then be required to enter Advanced Combat Training for their specific MOS, whether it be Armor, Artillery, or Even Reconnaissance or sniping. Below is a List of the Current Branches in the 101st Airborne Division Clan, and an explanation of their uses.

Sounds interesting... I've been looking to join a clan for a while now and I like your approach to the realism aspect. I'm still a relative noob to BF2, havn't even seen half the maps you've listed.., so a few of quick questions. -I currently have the basic BF2 install with no Mods (latest patches) and no extra maps so will need some advice on obtaining all of those you have listed. -I don't use any teamspeak as of the moment, just use keyboard chat so would need some advice here too (am fairly new to online play). -I mostly play as a sniper, seems to suit my style and like scouting and spotting for the rest of the team too. Would this be a prob. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'll keep my eye on this thread and await your reply, any help would be much appreciated.

Hey FraggleRocky, its okay if you are a "noob", during basic combat training we will train you on bullet spread, tactics, etc etc etc, which will in turn teach you the basics of the game so dont worry about being a "noob".

All you will need to play with the 101st Airborne Division Clan, is Project Reality, and Forgotten Hope 2, I will add links for the downloads below, as well as a headset that works, and Teamspeak, also you will be required to follow orders from higher ranking members without hesitation.

Regards to the Teamspeak Comment, you will just need a headset (mic and headphones), and we can set you up with Teamspeak, if you dont have a headset, you can go and purchase a good one from $10-$20, believe me its a great asset to gaming.

You like playing as a sniper, that is fine, once you pass Basic Combat Training, you may have a spot in the Recon/Sniper Divisions, but you may be required to be a member of the 502nd PIR at any given time etc.

Forgotten Hope 2 Download Link: Forgotten Hope (You will only need to download the Main 2.15 File)

Project Reality 2 Download Links: Project Reality : Battlefield 2 Mod - Downloads (You will be required to download the Levels, and Client Files)

Yes I realise they are extremely huge mods, but they make the game SOOO much better, its like you are playing a whole new game which is more realistic, and just all around more fun.

Thanks for your interest in the 101st Airborne Division Clan, See you on the battlefield.

Thx for the quick response. Am downloading Forgotten hope now after checking it out, looks great! Havn't looked at the project reality bit yet, not sure what that is. This looks like the way forward though because i've been getting sick of teamkilling, padding, cheating and so on, has been ruining the game for me. Will keep you posted.

Project reality looks perfect too, is the realism I've been looking for. One last question then i won't bother you till It's all up and running. Is it easy to get both mods working together? Just thought i'd ask before i do it so you can steer me clear of any obvious problems. Thx in advance.

Sorry, I meant you will be given an MOS for a few months, then possibly switched to another MOS, but by the third time, you will eventually get a choice in the matter.

On the note about the 2 Advertising threads in a Week, I have spoken to a the mods, and they said it was fine, as long as I do not make anymore. SIMPLY because I could not edit papabear's thread.

All good questions. We hope to not compete with any clans in this game mod, only to say that we hope a mutual respect develope and that mutual respect comes from the knowledge that the other is just as interested in gamming as we are. We like to add to the game. We just try to encorporate the knowledge of countless tactitions who throughout time have proven again and again that the real world tactics work for these games. We hope anyone who wants to be a part of a learning environment and who is willing to pick up a rifel when told to, will in no way or form take away from the game. I mean look at our friends of World at War. The mods work fine together. In fact you would be surprised at how the tactics translate across the board on both. There is my other two cents.
