Regiment Nordland... People who betrayed their own country, let it be invaded and taken under control, then went to the eastern front to serve Hitler as one of the most fascist regiments under his command killing jews the best could.

Have fun!

No, but the Norwegians and Danes who were in the Division did, in my eyes. And those were the majority of the Division in the beginning. Yes, there were several other nationalities later in the war, but most of them were hailing from Scandinavia. When the final battle of Berlin commenced there were almost just scandinavians left. And yes, I think the same of British and French soldiers in the Division.

PS: Nordland was a Division, not a Regiment. An example of a Regiment would be SS-Panzergrenadier Regiment 23 Norge, who were a part of the Division.

The Divisions foreign groups had several reasons to join: 1. Originally family came from Germany 2. Sought the need to help the war effort against the Soviet Union The Danes could well think that in case the Soviets do advance, they would not stop at Berlin. Also, in case the Germans won the war, it would have been good to be on the winning side. Oh...please correct the info in post #4 if you do intend to carry on.

I can see a perfectly good reason for scandinavians to fight the evil communists. And i have loads of sources telling me that waffen-ss soldiers whent straight to a concentraiton camp when they had a leave to tortured jews.. Nothing is like torturing a jew when your been on the happy eastern front... yay
