When you TK someone, it doesn't matter if they forgive or not you will always lose some points, thats my experience. Example: TK = -2 Punish = another -2. So accidental would give you -2 and on purpose -4. Numbers can be incorrect, what I just told you can also be incorrect

It makes no difference AFAIK. Just after a number of punishes the server kicks you. The number of punishes required is set by the server. In that sense it can work very well. Even BF1942 had this feature, but it had to be typed in console.

It's just a bitch when 99% of people playing insta-punishes you even if the TK was indeed an accident and you were even going to say sorry for it, but you cant because you are already punished.

In which case I usually take back what I said about being 'sorry' and just bayonet them instead.

All "real" servers in bf1942 used BFSM (BattlefieldServerManager)which had loads of different settings, for example Kick after amount of TK, Ban after amout of TK, Kick after amount of forbidden words used in chat, Ban after amount of forbidden words used in chat etc... console Kev? when did you play bf42 last? :p all the servers I had admin access to I listed these words BFSM and kicked players if they used them more then 3 times, ban after 5: camper, spawnkill, spawnrape, n00b, spawncamp, cheater, haxx =p

Be patient with me, please!

Concerning the choice to have the option to punish or not. I am now sceptical. Some players just have to press "Page Down" and punish in a jiffy. If one doesn't touch those two keys at all, the team killer will automatically be forgiven. The very first night the server was up a guy joined my squad. "Are you admin?” he asked. And I said, yes! (He did not say anything more). Later on he did team killed me and two other as we were going in a truck. No one punished him. He TK'd me at two more occasions, but did not punish. (I never do unless someone does it on purpose, executing style or to pinch an aircraft from me, e.g.) The same fellow came back some nights later. I was shooting at a building with a heavy MG in a distance of some 200 meters or more. I TK'd him!! Now the sh*t really hit the fan, and he punished me in a split second and when I asked him about the punish he made, he wrote: "next time look radar". Our Auto Message says: >>>> DO NOT PUNISH FOR ACCIDENTAL TEAM KILLS AND SAY SORRY FOR TEAM KILLS <<<< Later on he TK'd a bunch of team mates and in no occasion he wrote "Sorry", or likewise. Moreover he constantly complained about “the cheaters”. Sigh… :cya: From the very start I was planning to let “friendly mines” also be included in the “friendly fire”. However that would be mayhem, I guess, when it comes to punishes. Even if my point of view is that a game shall be played as realistic as possible. I don’t know why people want to play an awesome mod as FH2, when they think that it all sux. We admins at Skyttegrav.se are, as anyone else, playing the game for fun, however our intention is that all our servers shall be a peaceful and fun place to play at. One thing that we admins all have in common is the unrestricted right to kick people that doesn’t behave. We don’t kick/ban for fun, we do it for the sake of the “good” players shall remain at our servers and have a good time, and don’t have to be worry over that some players make their own rules. With this letter I want to emphasize that we admins are pretty hard when it comes to game misconduct and other misbehaviours at our servers. If you feel that you are an upcoming “regular” at our FH2-server feel that you can handle the situation and that you also like it when the server is a fun and fair place to play at, send me a message or grab me on XFire. Maybe you can help us out as a VIP-admin. If you read all this, thanks a lot!

Regards, Magrioteli

Great server. Good ping, maps, everything. Even down to the server graphic and - not kidding - correct grammar and spelling in the server description and messages. Honestly, it makes a difference. The server messages may be a little too frequent and overly-obvious with all the '>>>' arrows but that's my only gripe.

I wouldn't put TK punish on. It causes more problems than it solves.

I tried this server last night for the first time and it was ace, I'd certainly use it more often (and I certainly hope it becomes more populated).

Hats off to you Sir, you've done a good job.

Yeah, that vote mechanism is useless and annoying only. It just aggravates you. Maybe doable in BF2 since you can take about 10 rounds into the head but FH2 is a little more complicated than that. Alot more complicated actually compared with that vanilla stuff.

It's turned off on WOLF also.
