I got this bug the moment I went from 0.65 to 0.67a granted I haven't played for a few months, so I am not sure if it is something that will just happen, but while playing FH my computer shuts down and restarts.. NOw this doesn't always happen, but happens more often than not. First time I played nothing but during that map right in the middle the computer restarts, and has been happening for a while now. Also I started to play today first map, wake island, all was fine, also I recall another japaneese map was fine, but then when started to play another map, northwood, first all fine, I died respawn, died respawn, was in a tank, all fine, now as an infantry died respawned, was riflemen, then I decided to switch to anti tank, and boom restart.
I have had the problem without switching types of equipment. First time it happened was entirely different map, germans vs. russians, and was in a tank a few times and died in it, and ran around as an infantry and died, but then randomly in the battle my computer restarted. So any help ideas on this one?

I can't say for sure, but it sounds like maybe you have a hardware problem. I don't think that FH could restart down your computer by itself, no matter how bad a job we did. Possible culprits include video card or fan (overheats when the game is on for a while, then shuts down) or maybe some bad memory. Just guessing though. Can you play other graphically intensive 3D games?
yeah I can, this is the only game that I have trouble in. I played IL2 for hours, and other 3d games, and MMO's no problem.
Since I can't edit, I reinstalled the entire BF1942 game, and FH, onto my new drive which I got today, and all seemed will first map, a wake map, it is okay, then on a german map, all seemed fine for a while then bam I get a quick blue screen and a restart. I think it is related to my german maps.
What info do you want from to help?

do a disk defrag.
Friend just got the game, same problem, so I am not the only one he says he gets it after 30 minutes of play, I just defragged my computer several times I will let you know if anything new comes up.
Update: Well here are some of my system specs.
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.4 Ghz processor, 1 gig of ram, around 340 gb of HD space on three drives BF1942, fully updated with 1.61 and FH 0.67a is on a drive all by itself. Video card NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT.
Virtual memory I have set to 2000-4096mb on each HD and says I have 6000 MB allocated for it.
More sistuational info. I get onto a german vs. russia map, and I try to host, he can't connect though I move around no problem. I find one online all by myself I get on no problem but punkbuster kicks me, so he gets on I get on everythign loaded going to select class and bam! restart. I try again restart, going to try a third time but he calls it quits. Now I try wolf server, german vs. russian map, I shut down a hell of a lot of small minoe programs that show between 1,000 to 9000 KB average used, and one 31, and rest lower than that. I get on I play a bit and realize no sound at all. So I restart computer turn off the 31 KB program and it loads and before I get to choose what side or class restarts.
There are many inconsistencies as to why this is happening, it never happened before in FH till I went from 0.65 to 0.67a sorry never played 67 by itself. I have the most recent patches for the game. I don't have a darned clue why it's doing this. I have played other games like blitzkrieg and filled those maps with 30000 units all fighting and killing sure lagged to hell but no restart. Also IL2 plays no problem. By all means I Shouldn't have a problem. Also as I said my friend has this problem after 30 or so minutes of play but on any kind of map, and I have plenty of fans going on my computer. And I checked it just now not too long after restart it is cool.
Edit: Oh I also defragged my computer on all drives, my main one around 12+ times and my only one in use besides that one which has FH and BF1942 on it till it was solid blue, all defragmented.
I hope this helps in someway to find a way to resolve my problem.

hmmm..... it's sounds like your pc allways boot after an blue screen. You can choose what your pc should do when a blue screen appears: ( Win XP/ Win 2000 )
1. go on My Computer 2. Properties 3. Advanced 4. Startup and Recovery 5. System Failure 6. disselected Automatically reboot
But this not the solution for the blue screen ..... often its an hardware fault or an physically/virtually memory problem, or a driver problem.
Here some proposals:
1. install the newest detonator 2. ensure that in the backround only the absolutely necesarry programms running
When the next blue screen appears post the message so i can look ( i have a windows blue screen support book ) what does it mean....
PS: I think your pc has an problem with the bf1942.exe file, this programm caused in my opinion the blue screen....

Yeah, uncheck the "Automatic reboot" and look what it shows on the blue screen then. Then enter the full "STOP 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0X00000000, 0x0000000000) Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap" or whatever it says into Google. There is a Microsoft-website, which explains most of these STOP-errors. Also have a look onto the mentioned driver or program.
