Well I have noticed alot of opinions about the US lately and I thought we should talk about what we think of it. This thread will probably be contraversial but i will appreciate it if ppl will not flame or spam, I don't want "AMERICA SUX THE ****" Or "All you *********ing idiots have stupid countrys, the US is the Best". Just don't flame, i know how ppl have been wanting to talk about by posts i am seeing lately. So Make this Patriotical or something. I put this here because this is the AMERICAS army thread too.

I will go on in saying that overall everything is pretty much fair here. The only problems is that ppl are not being represented well. However if the government were representing every person equally then the overall outcome may not be the right thing. The war in Iraq may have been right or wrong, we may never know if it was wrong but the fact is that if we didn't go in then 50% of the country would have been angry, and 50% is now angry that we went in, so either way we lose. It is not fare that we blame one person (GWB) for the action of going in. Anyway I happy with the counry except its ignorance to some nations like the French, maybe if we were nicer to them in the begining we wouldn't think of each other as *****. O yea and Taxes.

Ok so ppl should post to this, maybe we will finally have some activity around here finally (hoping to revive forums) :feedback:

i think that the US is good enough. I mean there are plenty of problems but we do get alot of things. Like videogames for instance, (i think) in New Zealand they banned Manhunt. In the united states it is rare that anything like that gets banned. We also have a semi-effecive government that, when it feels an extreme need to, can do something. Alot of problems can go ignored but the population has to be considered. most people oppose things because they think it is a waste of time or money when it might be saving other people lives.

the only problem I have w/America is that its seaming more and more each week that the quote on our coins is changing to:"SEX SELLS" and I don't like it.

Thats really the only problem I have w/the US, it's advertising and marieialistic side...now, I'm not saying I'm not martirialistic, but it can get kinda sick watching comercials here in the US...

o, and Canada, man, that it the worst state every :p (J/K Canadians :p)

I like my country. Full of a population that lacks any common sense, but oh well, what are you gonna do. If our entire country acted with common sense 10% more often, this would be a FAR AND ENTIRELY happier planet. We could be worse off, and our government is still doing okay despite a bunch of systems (tax, legal, etc) that need to be overhauled. There are a lot of things that could be improved, but all countries are like that.

And seriously, what is UP with Canada? (Also J/K, I'm half Canadian!)

Just don't let anyone find out I'm Californian...I'm still ashamed of my state....

I don't know, even though I feel that I am patriotic, politics in general rub me the wrong way. Because a government says that "we feel this is what must be done.." in NO way means that it's the right decision. The war with the Taliban and Al Queda are in my opinion, was a good reason to send our brothers and sisters into harms way to protect our country from futher harm. The war with Iraq, I personally don't see how ppl can try to justify us taking any action. Sure Saddam was one demented human-being and in his country caused wide-spread fear and torture, but a threat to the US, man he was broken down to a point of military ineffectiveness. The UN WAS right, let the inspectors do their job, while we focus on spending the money we don't have on education, healthcare, yada yada yada, the things that OUR country NEEDS, not some sudo political war cry. Btw, no matter what situation our brothers in arms have to engage in I now, and always, will support them, thats with out saying. Ya I know, we tring to liberate Iraq, there are sooooo many countries that need to be liberated and saved from unrulely actions of thier government, but why are we not there, because theres nothing to gain from helping those countries. The military is there to protect us from imminate danger, on our soil. I leave it there cause I need to get some coffee and wake up, sorry guys if I sound bitter, its cause I had a hard night, but we need to focus on spending our money on things that make us wiser, more efficent, more productive, more educated, phsically able, before we go spend money we don't have on inappropriate decision making, at the cost of the blood of our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers..... Sorry for the spelling but I can barely think right now, coffee....I need....coffee.....

Americans are overall ungrateful for everything they have. Not only that but they are so greedy it's going to kill almost all of us when obesity starts causing heart/kidney/etc problems. We pollute the air and don't like it when countries oppose our ideas. Supposedly we have the freedom of speech here, but do we in turn allow other countries their own choices? Of course not. That would make it look like we aren't the almighty who knows everything.
